Alec was still having a hard time dealing with everything that had happened over the last few weeks -- not so much the dungeon and the baggage and the trauma (though he could have lived without the trip to the memory room), but the children visiting and the whole... Sparkle-vampirism issue. The end result was that he was feeling a little lost, not overly talkative, and rather firm about getting in some training time.

Archery was all well and good when he didn't feel the need to blow off as much steam as physically possible, but right now he was in a seraph blade kind of mood and the dummies in here were just going to have to deal with that. They were also going to have to deal with him being a little loud as far as grunts and standard fighting noises went, but as they were dummies, they probably didn't mind that as much.
