Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Sparkle had literally no freaking clue what he'd just walked in on. He'd been headed to the common room with scavenging somebody else's leftovers in mind, and he'd gotten pretty immediately distracted by the weird vision of the guy in the crazy mask and long, floppy coat.

Really, he had no idea what amused him more. The fact that the guy seemed to be directing some sort of movie in here, or the fact that he was pretty sure the guy had been doing drugs at the time. Never mind the fact that whatever he was directing was named something as completely ridiculous as 'Fandom Chicken.'

"YOUR CLOSE UP WAS BEAUTIFUL, BUT I MAY NEED ANOTHER SHOT SO THAT WE CAN GET YOU FROM A BETTER ANGLE."

... Sparkle was going to leave the leftovers alone and make himself some popcorn. Whatever the hell was going on here, it was comedy gold.

Hell yes, he was taking notes.

[OOC: Open! Because I had to dredge up Fandom Chicken for this BDE. I had to. Blanket permission granted for anyone who wants to quote Valentine if they tag in. I can't vouch for the other thespians who were involved in that glorious trainwreck, of course.]

"What's going on in here?" Flick asked when he found himself at this floor's common room. He'd been in the area for the same reason as Sparkle, actually.

Food was a powerful motivator, wasn't it?

Flick tilted his head, watching the whole thing quizzically. After a few seconds, he realized he didn't know what the hell was going on.

"I'm gonna go with good shit," he finally said. "And I'm gonna go with him sharing with everyone else too."

Because what the hell.

"Yeah, I kinda feel like we missed out," Flick said, not really meaning it. He never wanted to act like what he was seeing.

Flick wandered into the common room and took a handful of popcorn with a nod. "This is probably better than anything on television, at least."

"Reality bullshit, soap operas or news," Flick said, nodding. "Sometimes, there's the occasional movie with a hunky Santa."

He would never be forgetting that one, no.

Flick stared for a second or two longer before he took a seat on one of the sofas as well. "This was just going on when you came in here?"

"Huh."

Flick was quiet for a second. He scratched his cheek and looked a little thoughtful. He couldn't help but wonder if this was similar to him hearing Jude's voice. Or if Jude was still haunting his stupid ass.

"I don't know whether to be concerned or amused that things like this seem to be happening around here. Not like this is some regular occurrence."

He gestured to the whole thing going on right now in front of them.

"Freak out? Go into therapy? Hide?" Flick suggested not at all seriously. "Those are just the first things that come to mind."

And probably the absolute last thing anyone here would do.

"What do you say, Sparkle? You and me in therapy." He was kidding. God, was he kidding.

"That was impressive," Flick said, giving Sparkle a slow clap for that quip. And he actually meant it too. It took some skill to put words together like that.

"I tried therapy once," he shared, shaking his head. "Before I got shipped off to military school. It didn't take. I just sat there and stared at the counselor. And then fell asleep."

"The guy actually let me sleep too," Flick shared. "Not sure why but he did and I was actually pretty grateful to him for that one."

He hadn't tended to sleep very well when he'd been home. He'd have to always be on his guard and that meant sleeping lightly.

"Juvie's something I've never had the honor of doing, though," he continued with a slight snicker. "Pretty sure that's why I got booted to military school. To make sure I didn't get in trouble and ruin dear old dad's rep."

"It wasn't the greatest place in the world but it could have been worse," he said, shrugging. "That's where I learned how to beat the shit out of anyone that tried anything with me. Undefeated boxing champ and Graduate rank in Krav Maga."

And he'd learned all that for the sole reason of going home and beating his father's ass. Hadn't quite worked out like that, of course.

"Made up for the getting up way too early, getting screamed at and cleaning the occasional toilet."

"Socks are important, huh?" Flick asked, slightly amused. "I'll know never to go for your socks if I'm ever hard up for something to steal. Probably wouldn't fetch a good price anyway."

Cecil cocked his head at the odd...whatever it was.

"Is this a shared hallucination or a ghost?"

"Hey, I get it," Flick said, holding up a hand. "I'm not really in the market for stealing socks, anyway. Not from people I know, at least. I tend to go a little more high end then socks. No offense to your socks, of course."

"Probably for the best," Cecil agreed. He plopped down by Sparkle to watch; this was better than whatever was on TV, anyway.

"Oh! We still need to have a movie night."
