the roof: monday afternoon
Nathan figured that taking Barry's gift up to the roof would negate any impact the tablet's technology might have on him. There'd still be a buzzing in his head but he could mostly ignore it if he was outside and under the sun.
The tablet wasn't like anything he'd ever seen before (except on television) and Nathan didn't really know where to start. He tapped a few things, watched the screen change and his eyes widened. Then, he felt a little dumb at how fascinated he got by something that was probably commonplace to most people here.
He tapped a few other things, watching programs and applications respond to his touch. He found one of the applications for movies easily enough and laughed at how simple it was to get a movie to play right there in front of him. He had no idea what the movie was but still, the fact that something so small could play a movie was pretty amazing to him.
He shut the movie down and went about exploring the tablet's capabilities some more. If he was less controlled, he might have been oohing and aahing. But, he was quiet. His brow was furrowed and his eyes were narrowed while he focused.
