3rd Floor Common Room, Friday Morning
There'd been a pizza delivery guy with an enormous stack of pizzas at the front door to the dorms that morning. He'd gone into some thing about how they always kept overserving and overdelivering and he was taking the pizzas back because they couldn't afford to keep doing that, blah blah blah.
Dante had knocked the huge damn pile out of Pizza Guy's hands like it weighed nothing, caught it in the other hand, and slammed the door shut in the guy's face so fast he couldn't even blink. He might have been bad at stealing, but he was pretty good at taking things. Especially if things were pizza. Of which there was now a lot, but he was a teenage boy with a supernatural metabolism; he was pretty sure he could make it work. He flopped down on the sofa on the third floor common room, open pizza box in hand (and perfectly balanced even as he went flopping). The rest, he'd put down on the table. He was planning to get to them. All of them, if he could get away with it.
Anyone who might've also wanted a slice better hurry up-- and rule out the option of sitting anywhere near this sofa, as Dante had stretched out all over it, his boots dangling over one of the arms. Mmm. Pizza. Small pleasures would get him through Loss class yet.

With the decision re: her prettiness also came a smirk.

He assumed Dante was, but he kind of had a thing about not annoying anybody who had that much access to him while he was asleep.

On the other hand, roommate. Might pay to stay on his good side, especially if people were going to keep showing up in the room and taking their pants off while Dante wasn't sure of Anders' schedule.
On the other other hand, pizza.
"I'll share that box," he said, pointing at the box with the pizza he was most sure might have olives on it.

He scrutinized the box. "It has olives," he pointed out, in a tone of mild disappointment, but took a piece anyhow. Free pizza was free pizza.

In a more sober tone, he added, "Honestly, I'm surprised the restaurants haven't stopped delivering to the dorms. They must lose a fortune on us."

He gave his slice a squint. Was that an olive?
"But the egg's fine," he said.

He picked some pepperoni off his pizza and popped it in his mouth, looking Dante over as he did. "How are you settling in, by the way?"
no subject
"'snot bad," she said. "It's probably better after an evening of two much lum ale, though."

While throwing Mara a wink, because of course.

"The classes are fucked up," Dante said, "But everything else is just fine. Free food, hot people. Could be worse."

He didn't know it could be eaten on its own, was the thing. It was a whole new world.

He looked to Anders, his head still hanging off the arm of the couch. "Speaking of boring and not boring... it's been a while since I last had a roommate." And the last one had technically been a cellmate. "We need to settle on house rules or something?"
no subject
"What did you have in mind?"
no subject
Heh. Knob.

That vitally important issue worked out, Dante sat up, because shoving a pizza slice in his mouth when he was technically upside down... didn't seem like a smart idea.
"And the cat's fine," he added, "Just as long as it doesn't eat anything of mine." Like the pizza. Don't think he wouldn't hoard all the leftovers.

She'd learned this was Very Culturally Important on this planet.

And when he made them, he was usually really only trying to entertain himself. Whether anyone else thought they were funny was secondary.
Besides, she'd laughed.

"You shoes," Anders decided arbitrarily. "Or some leftover pizza."
