2nd Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Why not spend a Sunday morning with a cup of tea and some scones in front of the television watching opera? Lucille had never before seen The Magic Flute, and today was a good day for that, wasn't it?

Lucille certainly thought all those things were good things to do today.

She poured the tea and made herself comfortable on the couch, hoping that no one would show up and interrupt her.

[Open common room! I cancelled all the stuff I was supposed to do today and have spent the day reading, drinking coffee, eating gingerbread cookies and watching the snow.]

Thorin had not seen Lucille since the unfortunate business with childhood that affected many of the land. Which was why he almost hesitated before walked into the room to find a meal for himself.

"Lucille."
dwarvenswagger: (oh is that so)

Well, he could just force it by being so polite about things. Like a jerk.

"Might I have some tea?"

He was a rude Dwarf. It was his thing.

"My thanks," he said, doing just that. With only moderate annoyance over things being placed at Man height. Ugh.

For that she deserved the, "I see you have recovered."

"Thankfully." Yes, he was looking pleased over this as he took a sip of tea.

"Of course I would care." He'd just need to argue once the caring ended. "I should hope anyone here would be the same."

Would she mind an interruption from her roommate terribly much? Cassandra hoped not.

She tried to make as little of a ruckus as possible as she walked into the common room, and picked a chair to settle in.

She looked towards the television.

She... had no idea what Lucille was watching.

Perhaps she should ask?

Perhaps not.

It was a small town, one would hope it was the case.

"Thank you," he replied dryly.

Well, at least she would no longer have to worry about disrupting Lucille... "What are you watching?" Cassandra asked mildly.

She was trying not to judge.

He was graciously allowing this. "There was a feast of some sort during it."
dwarvenswagger: (let me think)

"It seemed a confusing sort. A strange insistence on only eating one sort of fowl."

That wasn't even a tasty one.

So it wasn't even turkey at all.

"I would prefer red meat," Thorin replied, making a face.

"Perhaps I will hunt one of the deer for the next feast. Despite their unusual coloring, they taste the same as any other."

And were lured in with soliloquies.
