First floor lobby, Wednesday

Tip was manning the prom ticket booth in the lobby. Which for Tip, meant that she was sitting at the table behind a book larger than her head.

She was still reading up on cryptozoology. It turned out, potentially imaginary creatures were fascinating. You know, when they weren't horrifying and racist.

What? She was a freshman. She wasn't supposed to be crazy into prom yet.

So today on my way to work the radio DJ was all "Is it just me, or has this week seemed like just an unending bunch of Thursdays? When is it going to be Friday already?" and I sat there at a red light in my car all ఠ_ఠ "I seriously could have sworn it was Wednesday" and finally had to check my phone to figure out what day it was.

And that's how inane DJ chatter made me question the meaning of time before I'd even had any caffeine yet.
