And as the makeshift weapon clattered to the floor, the creature's grip tightened on the girl's shoulder. It opened its creepy, grinning mouth, revealing a vast chasm of darkness before it leaned forward and then--

The entire screen cut to black.

"Well," said Prompto, not sure if he was more relieved and grateful or upset that it wouldn't even show the supposed good part, "I guess that's tha--"

Of course, it was going to be at that moment that the creature's face appeared out of the darkness, bared its teeth with a horrible screeching sound and rushed toward the screen, causing Prompto to give a frightened little screech of his own and send the candy corn flying.

And then, a beat later, the credits began to roll.

"Wait," he said, jaw still hanging, "that's how it ends???"
