Fourth floor common room- Tuesday evening

As far as Sabine could tell, no one was currently living on the fourth floor, which meant maybe there'd be some privacy for a movie night in. Why bother roommates when you could just find your own space?

There was popcorn made and sitting on the table, and from her spot on the couch w she flipped through choices, Sabine asked, "What kinds of movies do you like, anyway?"


[For one, unless you have some reason to be on an empty floor!]

Lana thought about it, picking up some popcorn and munching on it. "Either something interesting, maybe with some intrigue, or something with other planets and spaceships, so we can make fun of it. Or both."

"Both is a goal now, you know," Sabine said with a little smile.

Did Space Battles count?

Space Battles absolutely counted! Plus then she could make fun of the pseudo-Jedi and throw things at the pseudo-Sith.

"Both sounds like a good plan," Lana said, smiling back.

"So, what classes have you got this term?"

"Scavenger hunt, Weapons 101, arts and crafts, the cupcake class somehow, and Nina's cooking class because I need answers." Monday breakfasts were so confusing some weeks. "What about you?"

She'd bet on seeing her in at least one specific class.

Was it the cupcake one? ...Probably not.

"Weapons 101 and magical theory," Lana said. "It sounded interesting. And I'm dreading seeing what happens on Wednesdays this time. How are the ones you've had so far?"

"I won the scavenger hunt," Sabine said, pulling up the movie and setting down the remote so she could sit back. "The cooking class is going to raise more questions than it answers. How do you make ice cream out of an egg and hand movements?"

"I...have no idea how you actually make ice cream," Lana confessed, "but I would assume it normally requires some sort of dairy. Congratulations on the scavenger hunt, though! Was it difficult?"

"No. I think we just got her lunch," Sabine said. "I think I only won because I already had caf. It came in handy."

Lana grinned. "Caf always comes in handy. Unless you're trying to sleep, I suppose." She took a few more pieces of popcorn and tossed one to Sabine.

Sabine caught it, grinning, and popped it into her mouth. "What's the saying, sleep is for the weak?"

"The weak and the overly confident, depending where you are." Lana scooted over and made Sabine room on the couch. Not that there hadn't already been, but...well.

Obviously she wouldn't mind if Sabine occupied that space directly next to her then.

"True. And there's plenty of overlap."

"Very true."

Mind? She even smiled and scooted just a little closer.

"And the rest of us have caf. Or coffee, I suppose. Some of the drinks here are nice."

"It does what it needs to do," Sabine said with a little smile. "I do kind of miss being where the real thing is easy to get."

She was fine not being at home right now, but she did miss it a little.
