The Deck- Tuesday Afternoon
It had been a busy but very nice day in Kurt's opinion. He had spent all morning getting ready for his and Libby's picnic lunch date out on the deck. And all that hard work paid off because, so far, everything had gone really well. Lunch was great and the company was amazing as always. So, with a full stomach, Kurt was lying on his back, staring up at the sky, a content grin on his face as he looked over at Libby.
"That definitely hit the spot," he said, giving his stomach a light pat, though in classic Kurt fashion, he would likely be hungry again in a few hours. "Did you have enough?" he asked, because it was no good to still be hungry after a picnic!
(For the girlfriend!)

"...maybe too much," she answered, with a little bit of a sheepish chuckle, turning her head from the sky for a moment to give him a faint grin back. "Thank you, Kurt. This is....really nice."

hand waveybeen at the flea market and could have easily still been there when the fire broke out. And then Libby had everything going on at the clinic....Kurt just wanted to make sure she was really ok. And a picnic lunch had seemed like a good way to relax after all that excitement.
"You sure you're ok though Libby? The weekend was a lot I know. I... I just want to make sure you are ok," he said with a soft smile as he reached a hand out to her.

She then just sort of looked over at Kurt, enjoying that they were able to make the time to do this and just to be able to spend time with him and, maybe, just maybe...subtly shifting over, a little bit closer to him, with that blush on her cheeks deepening all the while as she did.

"See that one?" she said, about the cloud currently looming overhead. "That one could definitely be a dragon."

Kurt shifted to follow Libby's hand, his other giving another gentle squeeze as he did. He looked up at the cloud for a moment and smiled.
"That looks a lot like Lockheed, Kitty's dragon friend back home!"

...promptly forgot about dragons, because looking over at him in her excitement really highlighted how close they'd actually gotten, didn't it? Too close, probably. Definitely much too close for two courting teenagers all by themselves without even a chaperone (unless you couldn't the squirrels), so she should probably pull away, that would be the proper thing to do, but her head was swirling a little over all of this and, in an act of wild defiance, she found herself...nudging her shoulder even closer into Kurt's.
"I didn't know that," she added, very quietly.

Kurt stared at Libby for a moment, every conscious thought fading in that moment. Kurt froze, both for fear of breaking this obvious dream that he must be having after falling asleep on the deck, but also because he didn't want to mess this up... ya know, in case it was actually real.
"I'll... have to see if Kitty is around... next time I do a video call home.." Kurt said softly, totally distracted by how close he and Libby were and he shifted a little, following her lead, and slowly started to slide his arm around her ever so sightly.
No, there was definitely no sudden flutter in his chest, don't be ridiculous!

Oh, they'd been talking about something just now, hadn't they? But Libby, all of a sudden, couldn't, for the life of her, remember what it had been, because all her attention was being poured into the fact that Kurt was putting his arm around her, and, what's more, that she was moving to accommodate it. Although, really, it felt almost as if her mind and body had become two separate entities, her body moving on its own accord to just get closer to Kurt while her mind was just left bewildered and baffled and confused and torn over how something she knew was wrong for a young chaste woman to do could just feel so incredibly right...
...and then her body, it seemed, was very far removed from herself, because her body was suddenly not her body at all, and it was at that moment that the Libby so dangerously close to snuggling up next to a boy was, in fact, a soft fluffy lamb, letting out a very confused and very emotionally distress bleat of a sound.

He blinked slightly for a moment, his brain catching up to what had happened. The island had struck again, and of course, it had to pick THAT moment to decide Libby needed to be an adorable little lamb again? Kurt smiled though and reached out to give the wooly head a gently, hopefully comforting little pet.
"Oh, Libby..." he said with a smile. "Well, guess it's you and me for however long this lasts this time around huh?"
