Fortunately for the canines of the world, Topher did not still have the dog who'd been following him around on Thursday. (Even more fortunately for the canines of the world, this sudden lack of a dog was because it had disappeared with the others, not because Topher had somehow managed to accidentally kill it.) But a part of him missed ol' Broca (he was pretty sure it had been named Broca), so as of this morning, Topher now had himself a shiny new robot dog, who he had very creatively dubbed Broca II.

By evening, Topher was testing Broca II's athletic capabilities by setting up an extremely minimalistic obstacle course (basically some couch cushions and a couple of pots and pans) on the floor of the common room and watching the dog try to navigate it. So far he was doing surprisingly well.

Though there was one setback.

"Dude," Topher said, very firmly, as he came up behind the adorable mechanized puppy and redirected him away from the TV set. "You can't actually chew on wires. Quit that."

Okay, so Sparkle had attempted to detach the velcro-cat several times on Thursday, to no avail. And on Friday, he'd been kind of flattered that the little black blob of clingy kitten had stuck around, but kind of concerned all the same. It wasn't as though he knew how to take care of a pet, after all. He'd fed it a can of tuna, gave it some water, and took it outside to do its business a few times, because it wasn't like he owned a litterbox or anything.

When Velcro was still around this morning, he'd relented. Even used some of the money he'd been saving from working at Demon Marcus to get cat supplies that morning, because... well, if it was going to stick around, it was probably a good idea to keep it from crapping in his laundry pile or something.

The thing was, Velcro didn't seem to like the crunchy cat-kibble things that Sparkle had bought. A bit of a piss-off, since he didn't have all that much money in the first place, but hey, that was what common room food was for, at least until he could wean the little guy off of people-food. A rummage through the cupboards, at least, yielded some canned food that the kitten did seem to like.

"Hah! Cats do too eat ham!"

Why did Fandom let Sparkle keep the cat, again?

Tyrion was still adjusting his gauntlets as he took his place atop a large rock and raised his voice. He supposed the muggy day meant he'd pay in sweat for the suit of armor as the sun rose higher, but he was still a Lannister. He would wear proper red and gold insignia today for the sake of that.

He took a moment to glance over his army. It wasn't much of one, a few dozen children and every explosive that could be cobbled together out of scraps. Those with him still deserved the dignity of any troops.

"We don't have a lot of time before we're noticed," he began, "so I will make this short. Today, you are all doing something very brave in taking up arms, and I thank you for it. We may be hurt. We may not succeed. If we do succeed, you may find no glory in it. We may not get songs written about us, or gold to fill our pockets -- and if you're out here for any of that, wipe those thoughts from your mind.

"But this island -- the people on this island -- deserve better than the dictatorship of a madwoman. We deserve the freedom to think as we want. The right to kiss someone we love outside on a summer day. And as I speak, some of your compatriots are risking their lives to free our imprisoned friends from her clutches. Others will be working through the night to find a way to dethrone her once and for all. Our distraction will give them the time and space they need to reach those goals. Let's not let anyone down."

He drew a breath, took one last glance to the school. "Now, on three, pick up your weapons and go."

After today's pillow-fight filled class there had been a dire need for a cold shower or 2 for Richie. Now that that was taken care of for the time being, he was parked on the couch in the common room watching TV.

He was having trouble finding a completely unsexy channel to leave the TV on though. Even the home improvement shows were proving problematic. Maybe he should just stick with cartoons. Cartoons were safe, right? At the least the ones aimed at tiny kids?

Fifth Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Chuck had tried so, so hard to hide away this entire weekend. That was how long these usually lasted, and he'd managed to avoid island crazy in that way a few times before. It worked for him.

And it had worked this time! Mostly. But without preparation there was only so long he could hole up in his dorm room reading and living off chips and candy before hunting down something a little more like... well, real food became necessary, and as such, leaving his safe-haven. From experience of these things, everyone went down at once, but as he recalled not everyone looked like girls they knew, and somehow that was worse. He'd blocked out this particular memory when meeting Annie for a reason. It made his head hurt in so many ways, and him uncomfortable in so many more.

So he planned to make this little outing as short (and himself as blendy) as possible. Keeping a hoodie up while making cereal might not necessarily the most subtle choice, but was what he went with.

It was Petra's birthday, and she was throwing her own party, thank you very much, because she deserved a party, and also cake. There were streamers and balloons, a cake she'd picked up at J,GoB (She didn't realize it yet, but the inside looked like this. It would be a delightful surprise) and ice cream, along with chips and dips and plenty of other ~~moddable~~ snacks and drinks. There was a ~~handwavey~~ party playlist pumping from Petra's iPod's speaker dock, and there was a ball pit. What more could any party want? Petra was pretty sure the answer was nothing. Come on, ball pit.

The birthday girl was wearing a green velvet party dress and her sparkly gold boots. She had on black leggings under the dress, though, because she was totally getting in that ball pit and didn't want to flash anyone. Especially, you know, considering, but mostly just in general.

The meeting was back in the dorms today. Nothing too crazy after a weekend of running around as kids, thank you very much.

“Hey everyone,” Tony said. “It’s going to be a very easy meeting with some cartoons Warren had.”

Because Tony didn’t watch cartoons. Or anything.

"Nothing really fancy," Warren added, holding up a couple of DVDs. "Some Adolescent Mutated Samurai Frogs and old episodes of the Y-People from back in the 90s, mostly. Being a kid again kind of inspired me to get my hands on some of my favorites from when I was a kid."

And being a Worthington meant that he could get his hands on them quickly! Double-bonus!

Rich kids!

Okay so. Half of everyone were little kids running amok. Petra didn't think she had a hope of corralling them all, and she wasn't that great with kids anyway, so she honestly hadn't even tried. But as the day wore on, she'd realized they'd all be getting hungry soon, if they weren't already, and might not be able to fend for themselves. She'd thought about ordering pizza, but she didn't think she had enough money for that and feared the kids would think 'pizza party' meant 'excuse to act even crazier.' So she'd called her dad and gotten his recipe for vegetable soup, packed up Fake Baby Sadie, and gone shopping, then to the common room, where a big pot of soup was now simmering on the stove with a pile of grilled cheese sandwiches on a plate nearby.

"I sure hope there are some hungry kids around here!" she sing-songed as she stirred the soup. "I can't eat this all myself!" Fake Baby Sadie made a burbling noise, and she frowned at her. The thing was really kind of creepy, the more time you spent around it. "Not you. You don't eat real food."

If any hungry big kids wanted to stop by, that would, of course, also be fine, and probably help Petra's sanity.

Toby had just gone to get a little dinner for himself, but apparently the Chinese food place was in the middle of a 5-for-1 special. Which, well. He wasn't gonna turn down free food, but now he had entirely too much. Hence, common room, in hopes that he might be able to foist off some of this food instead of letting it go to waste.

Flipping through the channels, he stopped on something apparently called Spirit Speaker, and before he knew it he was totally sucked in to the storyline.

Boys' Bathroom, Monday Evening

It seemed that today was an odd day for the bathrooms in the dorms. Not that Tony knew that, of course. What he knew was that there was a random sheet of butcher paper on the wall next to the sinks.

It was hard to miss, really.

And it was tempting to draw on. So, so tempting. No one would care if he doodled a little something on it, right?

Girls' bathroom- Monday evening

Annie had gone into the bathroom to try and wash some of the seemingly omnipresent glitter off her hands, and it was then that she noticed the sheet of white butcher block paper taped to one of the walls. After drying her hands and checking to make sure it wasn't covering up any of her fliers (it wasn't), she regarded it for a second, wondering what it was there for and who put it there.

Then she shrugged, reached into her purse, and wrote Vote for Annie!! with a heart next to it. You really shouldn't expect anything less from her.

[I HAD TO. You know what to do. Annie can be in there if you want to talk to her, or you can mod her out.]

Topher had decided that he was not going to go outside anymore. Outside were bugs, hot weather, and... the Wild West. Nope, he was going to stay inside for now.

So in the cabin common room he was, going mildly insane because the channel just wouldn't change from what Topher was pretty sure was a horror movie. (It so wasn't.) All he wanted to do was watch something decent, and for a guy with as much technical know-how as Topher, the fact that the TV wouldn't change? Kind of maddening.
