I'll want a single room. With locks. I don't care what floor you put me on, as long as it's not the first floor, or a noisy one. The attic seems like a nice-enough choice.

The dorms are in a state of flux. There are some constants though.

There 40 rooms to a floor, except the sixth floor that for some reason has sixty-six.

The attic is one level above the top level with rooms in it. So currently it is one the seventh floor, but if there were a sudden influx of new students and an seventh floor needed, the attic would become the eighth floor.

The Principal's tower floor is always two levels above the attic.

There are not necessarily 4 corner rooms on each floor.

The lower the number, the nearer it is to the elevators.

Beyond that the inhabitants of each room determine the features.
