A piece of parchment is tacked to the door of the first-floor janitor's closet with the following note:

For the attention of pumpkinhed:

Sir, I was informed that I would need to speak to you in the matter of requisitioning a hammock for my sleeping quarters. Please contact Midshipman Archie Kennedy in room 115 if this arrangement can be worked out.

P.S. There is nothing wrong with the bed, which is in fact quite comfortable. However, in the interest of easing the transition to life on land, I feel this would aid me in getting some sleep, at least for the next few weeks.
