*sigh* Drama.
River watches
oatmanspatient storm away down the second-floor corridor. She gives it a good fifteen seconds, then comments, "Well. That was overly dramatic." She looks up and down the corridor, arms crossed over her chest. "Everyone alright?"

River's brow furrows as she attempts to explain. "And sometimes it's still like that. But mostly, nowadays, I have better control over it. It's not a torrent of noise and emotion anymore, more like... standing by a stream with a bucket, that you can dip into the water if you need to." She rubs her forehead distractedly. "But there are moments when it can't be helped, and some people think more loudly than others."
She smiles faintly, and gestures across the corridor. "Lee's a loud thinker, for example. And most people's thoughts are noisier when they're drunk."

She pauses, looking thoughtful, and then says, "Am I a loud thinker? And hey, what does Lee think? Anything fun?" She raises her eyebrows playfully.

She flushes, running a hand caressingly past her lips and over her ear. "Let's just say that Lee thinking about that can be... more than a little distracting (http://www.livejournal.com/users/leeadama/1474.html?thread=10946#t10946), if you get my drift."

"Wow." She makes a face. "That has got to suck."

A look of surprise, and then distaste, crosses her features. "Wait." She whirls towards Joan. "Do you know where Parker is? I need to find out how to do something, and I don't have the time to have to be diplomatic about it."
She nibbles at her lip. "It's either that, or sleeping down in the common room. And I heard bad things about gremlins."
no subject
She shrugs, quickly. "Hasn't everyone heard about the gremlines? They're kinda cute when they're stone, though. I have one on my dresser right now."

"It's that, or hit him over the head and knock him out cold." She turns back towards Joan, desperation in her eyes. "I don't want to hurt him."

She shakes her head furiously, as if trying to shake a hornet out of her hair. Anxiety widens her eyes, emotions writ on her face plainer with each second. "Gods. The things he's thinking of are already filling up my head, making me want that."

(ooc: I hate to do this now, but I have to sleeep. It's almost three in the morning here and I've got to be up at seven. Yay for addictive RPGs.)

"Other than being mostly deaf from the racket. Fine. What was he angry about anyway?"

Um. Yeah. I can't argue with that.
