The second-floor corridor.

River Tam slowly, carefully makes her way, step by careful step, as though she's made of glass, along the length of the corridor between Parker's room and her own. Her eyes are focussed on something far far away, her lips are thinned with concentration, her face is pale, and her expression is determined.

One step, then the next, then the next...
