Floor 2 common room
::the teeniest bit tipsy, Cally decides that reading alone in her room is no way to spend her friday night::
::unfortunately, despite her misadventures today, doesn't think anyone she really knows isn't preoccupied, so she just heads to the common room... and starts reading again::

She contemplates the board again. "Let's see... how about --" She pulls four tiles from her stand, then sets T, E, E, T vertically above the beginning of hat to spell teeth.
[ OOC: Which seems strangely prophetic now, given her confrontation with Remus Lupin in werewolf form last night. Eeeek! Don't give River the precognitive Scrabble board! :) ]
"Which is a base of eight points, right?"
[ OOC: And new tiles are... 86 (T), 27 (E), 82 (T), 28 (E). Um, the hell? I just used those! *facepalm* :)
And sorry to have been out of the thread for so long]

Yeah, I think we can blame that on how drunk I was. Rogue's a sweetheart, though.
::tallies the score::
Double letter and a triple word there, so... 27 points in all.
::ho-hums as she tries to find some play that won't let River continue her merciless scrabble beatdown::
I have to say... Cameron Mitchell is really cute. Other than him, the guys I've met so far aren't really cuddle worthy...
::sighs, and drops down SOO in front of the T of Wicket::
Soot, even with the Double Word... that's 8 points.
::fishes for her new tiles, producing a P, A, and a T::
How about you? Got your eye on anyone?
[ooc: no problem, just had to find where i stored our game info... I just drew the last T.]

Looking back down at the board, River gnaws on her lip. With the letters she's got, there's not much she can do except...
She places the R and T on her rack below the second O in soot to spell ort. "For three?"

Double word, so it's Six.
::wonders whether River calling a releationship yummy is sweet, or terrifying::
A-ha!
::drops down B-A:: on top of the G of glens::
Bag, with the B on a triple letter, scores me twelve.
::digs and picks up a D and an O to replace::
So, who's so... ::chews on lip:: erm, yummy, then?
[ooc: and that's the last D, and in case you've been keeping track, yes, I originally had us down for one less D than we were supposed to... and now it's fixed. but it's still the last one]

She sighs. "Since all the boys around here seem to be sewn up into their own little worlds, or evil, or already with someone..." She shrugs again. "I'm experimenting, if that makes any sense. Trying to see if it's something for me."
River glances back down at her letters, and then at the board again. She pulls two letters from her rack, and places E and A in front of the topmost T of teeth. "Three, again."
[ OOC: I was keeping track, but I seem to have misplaced my paper. *rolls eyes* Anyways, my new ones are... 73 (R) and 45 (I)? ]
[ OOC: And hopefully yummy is sweet. *smile* ]

Chiana, huh? I don't think I've met them...
And yes, all the boys here are in their own little worlds.
::looks at the play::
Three it is, actually.
::looks at her tiles, and notices something::
Oooh!
::around the E of Line, places P-O- and -T::
Poet. With the double letter and the the triple word, that's Twenty-One for me.
::digs for her new tiles, and produces R O and Y, now making her have both Ys::
Lovely.
::sighs::
Your play.
[ooc: and... here's the list of missing letters now. There are no: b, c, d, f, h, j, k, q, r, t, x, or y left in the box.]
