At room 147

Kiki pauses outside the room of [livejournal.com profile] equalsmcsquared. She looks around the hall, thinking maybe it's too early in the morning to bother the biology professor, then slowly reaches up and knocks softly. In the other hand, she's holding a single peach rose in the other hand.

Jiji is pacing at her feet restlessly.

*opens the door*

Can I help you?

All the flowers that have been delivered are from Jack's Rose Shoppe. I've been receiving anonymous bouquets myself.

If you would like, I could see if there is anything distinctive about this rose that could help us identify the giver. *a reassuring smile*

*Shrugs lightly, taking the rose with a pair of tweezers* Whoever sent it might have simply wanted to be anonymous. I received a book yesterday with a card that simply said happy birthday. It's not that uncommon.

*Does a series of quick tests on the rose then shakes her head* Just a typical specimen of Rosa multiflora. No fibers, no skin cells, nothing of the sort. If you're truly worried, don't keep it. Otherwise I really can't tell you much more about this.

Just a note from the sender of the peach roses:

They are perfectly ordinary roses. I'm just shy.

They were going to be white. But then I remembered Kiki has a thing about white, and I decided on peach. The Non-relationship Rose color of choice.
