[3rd floor] Saturday morning in the common room.
Max sits in the third floor common room, steaming cup of coffee (with saucer) at the ready, large French press and extra cupware nearby. He's got papers spread out on the coffee table in front of him. It looks like a script or something. He's chewing thoughfully on the end of a Sharpie, idly tweaking the safety pin that attaches the earpiece to his frame of his glasses, and staring at an elaborate Venn diagram with various Fandom High student names on it.
Max is working on a play. It'll be a grand, unificationtheory effort: possibly Rocky Horror, possibly Our Town, and — more than possibly — some kind of meta mash-up between the two. Maybe a little Shrew. He's going to have to think on it.
[ooc: I'm in and out all weekend, but I wanted to put something up. Open to anyone who happens to be in the area, or who is a SERIOUS, SERIOUS actor. (kidding.)]

Geeze kid, what are you trying to do, redecorate the place with all that paper?

He looks up from his work and--
Man. That's a big chin. Max has never seen a chin that large.
He sighs and gazes thoughtfully at the man addressing him, answering: "No. I've got to see everything at once to try and figure it out. Although... not a bad idea: redecorate the common room. Make it our own. Give it that special 'third floor' feel. As soon as I figure out what that is, I'll put it on my list."

Ooh, some floral print and curtains would really liven this place up.
::returns to normal sarcasm::
Seriously kid... you look like you're planning something. Anything the faculty should know about before you... do... whatever this is?

Thespian? I'm all man, kid, and don't you forget it. You call me a Thespian again and you're going to be on the recieving end of a shotgun enema, got it?

"Um ... is that, like, for a class?" she asks.

"Huh? This? No. This is for extra-curricular. Although..." He takes his Sharpie (black, extra fine) and makes a quick note in his notebook. "Pursue... independent... study... credits. Good idea, Miss...?"

"Um, Chase. Angela Chase," she says, offering her hand for Max to shake. "And you're Max, right?"
no subject
After he shakes her hand like she's a normal Joe, he waves at his sea of paperwork, "I'm working on a play. My desk isn't big enough and I already knocked over my ink well."

*notices the Venn diagram*
Hey. What's this?

He regards this new person carefully, and finally looks at him curiously, "Where did you get your glasses? I like your frames. Internet? Or vintage?"
no subject
"So," he says, sitting down, "how does the Venn diagram work in the brainstorming process?" He notices that there are scribbles all over the page. "If you want to explain it, that is."
no subject
He looks at the guy next to him again and says, "I really like those frames, though. I need new ones. I'm thinking about looking on the internet. Maybe eBay or something. I hate these frames. And the lenses. I hate everything but the safety pin actually."
Smiling, he adds, "I'm Max Fischer. What's your name, guy?"

Max looks at the girl curiously, cocking his head. "Do you act? Is nudity a problem for you? Or, handling of firearms? Or, ...uh, pork?"
[ooc: Love. Jaye. So. Much. Remind me to link to the icon I made of her. I made more than a couple, but I'll have to find them/upload them. Love. Jaye. Did I mention that?]

(OOC: Hee! Jaye is joy, I swear to god.)

He points at the cups and saucers, "Want coffee, Miss...?"
Come on. Fill in that blank.

"Thanks!" He picks up a cup and saucer and offers both to her. "Looks like someone needs a good cup of joe. Want some?"

"It's a play. I've decided that Yearbook isn't going to keep me so busy that I can't do other activities. And if I'm going to stay at Fandom High for a bit, then I might as well try to start up the Max Fischer Players again," he explains, carefully moving a piece of paper over where Rory's name appears in the diagram.
