Veronica is in her room after the yearbook meeting. She is waiting for Jack Harkness to come over so they can make up their Speech 301 assignment that she missed on Friday.

She's still slightly out of sorts over the whole Lilly thing and she's terribly worried that Rory is going to end up caught in the crossfire between Lilly and Logan, because Lilly did not sound happy about seeing Logan here. And Veronica knows how unpleasant it is to be caught in one of their dramas.

I went to the clinic for some painkillers and they made me kind of loopy. I actually don't remember most of last week except for dressing in aka_vala's lingere and sleeping with julian_lawless.

How about you? Sleeping off a wild night or something?

You lost an entire week? I feel your pain. I once got drugged at a party and... *Veronica trails off, not wanting to share that entire story*... And, well, I didn't remember much the next day.

*She thinks about how to answer his question and decides the truth can't hurt. After all, Charlie didn't freak last night when she told him.*

I missed class because on Thursday night I ran into my dead best friend. She's a student here. It freaked me out, but I'm okay now.

I'm glad to hear you're okay. And you'd think after coming here I'd be used to weird things happening. But I suppose it's kind of cool, getting to be with her again, right?

It's very cool getting to be with her again... now that I'm passed the freaking out about seeing her phase.

And, somehow, I'm starting to get the feeling that having my dead best friend show up is *not* the weirdest thing that will happen here.

*She hesitates for a moment*

Does it make you feel better or worse, that you're more normal? Not that I think anyone's normal here, mind you. We're all just varying degrees of weird.

At my old school, I was... well... somewhat of an outcast because I didn't conform.

I'm just not sure what, if anything, would be considered conformist around this place. Its not like any other school I've ever known.

And that's what I like about it. I suppose we could all be boring and normal and polite and everything... but if that isn't really you, then it's all just lies, and would you rather be a liar or a non-conformist?

And I speak as one who has never lied in my life. *blinks with extremely over-done innocence*
