In the 2nd Floor Hallway...
*There is a loud slam as Edward throws his door open. Three books scurry out of the room, and Edward chases after them, waving a broom over his head and trying to swat them into submission.*

Um. Ed, your books seem to be...escaping.
D'you need the mallet?

Ignoring her fallen school supplies, she began stamping at the floor with her foot, trying to step on one of the books and trap it.
"What... happened?!" she yelped upon missed and nearly tripping over the book.

I've never had things come to life when I transmute them before! That shouldn't happen at all! *The smacked book decides to try to run off again.*

*frowns at it* I don't like the idea of burning books, no matter what trouble they've caused. I don't know if they're actually alive or not - I would like to study them.
*snaps fingers* I'll be right back! *runs back to his room*

"Transmute?" she echoed, removing her shoe and tossing it at one the book she's attending to, then attempting to hop onto it with both feet. Missing again, she let out a miffed growl, removing her other shoe and pursuing the book.
At least it's not my fault, then...

"Ha! Try that, you crazy thing!" She hesitantly stepped off the book and picked it up, stepping back into her sandals and turning the book over a few times in her hands.

"No problem." She shifted the book so she was looking at the open-end, and made a face at it. "You bite me and you will regret it, book." She scolded, feeling silly afterward. Shrugging, she pulled the opposite covers of the book away from eachother cautiously. When nothing happened, she let the book fall open in her hand and went to flip the pages.
After flipping a few, she shook her head and looked over to Edward.
"This one's blank, I think-- ACK!" As soon as she looked away, the book, which she could have sworn was subdued, snapped closed, attempting to trap her fingers. Glaring at it, she slammed her hands into the covers, pressing it so it stayed closed.

*Edward holds out the cage.* Here, go ahead and jam that little monster into the cage. I want to study them and see if they're truly alive, or just enchanted.

"So does this sort of thing happen to you often?" She wondered outloud, putting a hand on her hip as casually as she could manage and titling her head. Pleasant as he was, she had to admit it was a little unusual to be on your way back to your dorm room and help some guy you've never personally met subdue wild books in the hallway. Her grin having never faded, she offered him her other hand.
"I'm Sakura, by the way."

*Edward took her hand.* Edward Elric, at your service.

*It finally settles down and he hands it over*
Here you go, pal. Some crazy books you've got there.
