Raid on the Dorms

Under cover from the armed first rank, Angela and Rose make their way from the Support Center to the dorms. They're on a mission, looking for stimulants, alcohol, and anything else that might be of use to the warriors.

"I don't know! I thought I was my friend Paris, and they gave me this gun, but I don't know how to use it, but Paris did, and now I have it and I don't know what to do. And Logan's unconscious up in one of the towers because I knocked him out because he thought he was his dad and was hitting on me," Rory says, not pausing for breath.

"Can I have some of that?" she asks, noticing the espresso.

Angela nods and fills a huge plastic cup with the brew. "Here."

None of the rest of it makes any sense to her.

"Did you get bit by a gremlin or something?" she asks. "And should we go get Logan?"

"It was the food. From the fundraiser," Rory says, slightly more coherently. "Some of it was drugged. And so people thought they were...I don't know, someone they don't like or something."

Angela's second question registers with her. "Yeah. I think there's probably a celebration (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/107475.html) around here somewhere, but would you guys mind helping me get Logan down from that tower? He's too big for me to carry myself. It shouldn't take long."

Angela nods, feeling lucky the pizza she ate didn't seem to be contaminated. "Not a problem. We'll head up before we go to the party."

She stops to think for a minute. "Should I try to find Marty? He's stronger than we are."

Angela is happy to see him. Very.

She shows it with a degree of passion that she would ordinarily consider unseemly for public consumption.

"I was so worried, I hadn't seen you since this afternoon," she says, once they disentangle.

Then she remembers Rotry is still standing there.

"We were going to, um, go up and get Logan from the tower. Want to come along?"
