FREE Sugar Cookies, ZOMG!

George wanders into the Common Room with a large box of large sugar cookies. On the tops, written in pink icing, are the words "Fute-a Geurge." According to Marty Blank, when translated from Muppet Swedish, the words mean "Vote for George."

Specifically, Vote for George for Homecoming Queen.

George drops the cookies on a table directly below her own campaign poster, shouting "Cookies!" over her shoulder. She then leans back against the table and awaits the flood of hungry fellow students.

Well, it seems like I've got a date now. Maybe. If it isn't just some big fat joke, like this campaign. We'll see. She thinks with a sigh.

Rory takes a cookie, balancing a tray of coffee cups on her hip.

"Coffee?" she offers George. "Compliments of the 'Hottest Ticket in Town' - specifically the 'Rory Gilmore for Student Relations' campaign."

George takes a cup gratefully, smiling despite herself. "I'll never pass up free coffee. Here. Have two cookies."

"Ooh! Two!" Rory says with an inordinate amount of glee. "I'll never pass up free sugar."

*Vala swings by and grabs a cookie with a smile at George*

George laughs shortly. "I didn't make them, so I suppose I shouldn't make any proclamations as to their safety. But if you somehow fall ill, look no further than Marty Blank. He's running for Security Officer, you know."

"Campaigning, George?" John takes a bit and mumbles his appreciation for the taste. "Thought you didn't even want to be nominated."

Well, I ate in the cafeteria this morning, so I guess I'm already in for it if something goes wrong. *snags another as she leaves*

"It was Marty's idea." George replies with a shrug. "'If you can't beat 'em,' right?"

John nods and eats the last of his sugar cookie. "Well, cookies were good. I wonder, what would you do if you did win? You don't seem like the tiara type and that's not meant as insult."

"Oo, cookies?" Faith asked as she entered the common room. "Are they evil? Can I have one?"

Parker overhears this, and narrows her eyes at John-the-MPD-Boy. She takes a cookie and says, "What's wrong with being a tiara type?"

Turning to George, she says, "Do you or do you not want to be Homecoming Queen?"

Parker represses saying all the obvious metaphors at this point. But the limerick is going through her head.

George makes a face. "I don't know. I mean, I figured maybe this is part of the reason I was sent to go to school here, to finally experience some of the things I missed out on before. Not that I have any interest whatsoever in winning. But maybe losing is just as important."

"Not really," George replies honestly. "I could definitely do without the spotlight."

George gives Faith a twisted grin. "Considering the man who ordered them, yes, they are. Pure, unadulterated evil."

Parker grins mischievously. "Good. Then you won't mind if I vote for myself." She takes a bite of the cookie and puts a rose on the table to brighten it up, along with a "Vote for the Hottest Ticket in Town" flyer for the Phoebe/Liz/Beka/Alanna/Anya/Rory/Elizabeth campaign. "It's more the principle of the thing. I'm not sure I'd want it either, but I *can't* not vote for myself."

Faith is totally oblivious to any metaphors or limericks. Really and totally. Yep.

Faith stares down the cookies. "They have Marty germs? I should eat a couple, to make sure none of the other students get infected. Mhm." She takes two cookies and takes a big bite out of one.
"Tastes less like chicken then I would have expected."

George raises a brow. "Yeah, well, the candiates are voting for themselves, and everyone else is voting for you. So, I guess it's moot."

Parker looks like someone just blasphemed in church. Losing as important? Inconceivable!

She takes another bite of the cookie, a mildly stunned look on her face. And it all comes down to, "Hunh?"
