There's a note on the door to South Attic, that's been photocopied and stuck on bulletin boards and the doors of Lee, Aeryn, and Dom.

The Administration is set on the weapons ban, for the foreseeable future. I'm working on it, but the new Dean has made clear he's not open to discussion of the matter as things stand.

I understand why they feel the way they do, and I agree that arming untrained, angry teens is a very bad idea. I'm not untrained. I'm not angry. I'm *definitely* not scared. I'm willing to leave my pulse pistol out of the classroom, but I want it where I live. For my own reasons.

Anyone else feel that way? If so, let's talk. I hope I won't have to (*loves her roommates*), but I may need to find several new roommates. Female or male or other.

(ooc- yeah come move to town, you can come keep Paige company while Geoff's away (IC *Paige cries a little bit*), but that's not til tomorrow, argh the time factors make my head hurt)

(OOC: strongly considering it. Beka's getting itchy with being 'good'. She's not bad/wicked, but she's got a rap sheet and a taste for the wild... it'd be good to get her out from under Admin's thumb. And having Paige for a neighbor would be way fun. I'm going out to see Serenity soon, but I'll be back later this afternoon. Catch up then and meet Geoff?)

(ooc- yeah the Geoff mun should be back this evening, I'll leave you link in your voicemail and yeah Paige can gte pretty wild, Geoff seems to have calmed her a bit though)

Beka spins, surprised to see Illyana. "Damn. You're so quiet!" Hugs her hard. "Good. I didn't want to go without you. I wouldn't have. For you, and Callisto, I'd suffer the pains of hell. I'll contact Dierdre at Amber House and CJ to see if her sublet will be available?"

She considers again. "Illyana, will Amber's magic mess with yours?"

Illyana shakes her head after thinking about it. "No, i can key my stuff so as not to damage hers."

Beka studies her roommate carefully. "We should talk about your magic sometime. I know you're very powerful. I'd like to understand more who you are." She doesn't add 'love' or 'sweetheart' or any other endearment, but between the three of them, there's no need. The bond simply is.

Illyana doesn't notice what isn't said, because when it comes to Callisto and Beka, it just is.

"Yeah, we should probably talk about that."

"When do you want to do that? For you, I'll make time. Besides, you can probably do some kind of time-spelly sort of thing so that it doesn't take any time, can't you?" She grins.

Illyana grins. "Yeah, I can do time spells, among other things."

She ponders this. "After Homecoming?"

Beka grins back. "I knew you and I needed to be friends the first time we met.

"If you think it's best to wait, OK. But... I've got some stuff going on before Homecoming that could get...dangerous. It might be good to know at very least what kind of stuff you can save my stupid ass from." She smirks.

Illyana looked at Beka in seriousness for a long moment. "I can save you from most things...others, I'd die to protect you from."

Beka nodded, grateful, and for once, truly trusting someone who said she had her back. "You know I'd throw myself between you and...anything. I'm not magic or especially strong. Just a girl who knows her way around a fight, and is plenty damned resourceful."

She grinned, abruptly. "Did you do something magic to make me find your poster that first day? Because otherwise, I may have to start believing in fate."

Illyana shook her head.

"No magic, just the hope that the right person ~~(you)~~ would come into my life and be a perfect fit with Callisto and I."

"I'm told that hope is powerful magic. If it brought us three together, it must be."

She pauses. "I love you. I'm glad we're leaving this place. I think it's been making us all sick."

Illyana agrees.

"This place...it just feels wrong. Leaving and going to another place will have good results for all three of us."

*thinks about it*

Weapons ban or not, I'd like to stay with John.

*nods*

I thought you'd say so. But I wanted you to know you were welcome. If we move, I'll keep your weapons for you if you want.
