Rory hops the last few steps down to her floor, and grabs onto Logan's arm when she starts to slide a little.

"Stupid wet shoes," she says, grinning ruefully.

Where Rory's slide ends is another tripwire, this one tied to a bookcase. The added pressure tilts it over and it begins falling on Rory.

Rory notices the bookcase seconds before it falls on her.

She barely has time to scream before everything goes black.

"Whoa!" Logan yells as he sees the bookcase start to fall, but he's behind Rory and can't get to it in time. He watches in horror as she crumbles beneath it.

"Rory? Rory!" Logan lifts the bookcase up enough to see her face. Her eyes are closed and blood is trickling from her forehead. Panicked, he shoves the bookcase off of her. "Rory, come on, wake up!" He checks her pulse, and is relieved to find it still strong.

Rory doesn't respond, though her breathing is steady - ragged, but steady.

Tick had been chasing the kid (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/145835.html?thread=4487595#t4487595) but lost the trail. Hearing a student yell, Tick ran towards the voice.

Tick slid to a stop in front of the student. "Hello, student! What can I do to help--" Tick spotted the unconscious body on the ground. "Rory?! What happened?!"

"Righto!" Tick carries his sidekick with care and sprints off to the clinic. The word "Spoon" can be heard as he accelerates.
