"Yes, of course we will. And...good. I'm glad you're dropping from the ticket. Not that I didn't like being running mates," she adds hastily. "But it shows a lot about what kind of person you are."
"I'm hoping that you mean that in a good way," Phoebe smiles. She offers Rory a seat. "I've loved running with you and Liz and Alanna and the others...I just...I cannot stay after what was done to Belthazor."
"I know what you mean," Rory says, sitting. "I can't believe anyone from out campaign would do that - but I know exactly who has both the means and the meanness to do it." She glances up at Phoebe. "It was Parker, wasn't it?"
Phoebe nods. "Yes, it was Parker. I don't have proof, but yes." Phoebe sighs. "I cannot in good conscience stay. My personal feelings for Belthazor aside, what was done was very wrong."
Rory nods. "If I could leave, I would. But I can't leave my running mates - Alanna, Elizabeth Swann and Anya all have platforms that were coordinated with mine. But I'm still definitely talking to Parker about that. It was...well, it was just wrong."
Phoebe nods. "I know. I wish we all could run together still because out platforms seem to mesh so perfectly. I may not be on the ticket any longer, but I'm still voting for you guys."
"Yeah, I'm running with Beka. She's a good person at heart and tries to help people. Sometimes, her actions are judged." Phoebe smiles sadly. "She'd be good for the school."
Rory arches a brow. "Ah. Yeah, I thought it was unfair for people to attack...what she does on her own time, you know? It doesn't really have anything to do with the election, as I see it."
