Oh so very bored in the Second Floor Common Room
::Cally has returned to the dorms after spending the afternoon helping Han work on the Falcon. Instead of showering or changing, she just wanders into the common room and plops down on the couch, still wearing her father's bright orange flight-deck jumpsuit::
::She sighs, and grabs the remote for the TV, and begins flipping through the channels, hoping somebody might drop in::

"You know how people never say that when it's something good? Why is that? But, um, ask away," she says.

"Um, if Logan is friends with Angelus...is that going to be a problem? Because I think I know what's going on there, and...it's nothing bad."
no subject
She cocks one eyebrow. "Is Logan going to have a problem with me? I was probably a little upset."

"And...wait," she says, freezing. Something Angela said has hit home. "He identifies with Angelus? Because...he feels like alienated or something?" she says, almost to herself.
Something's niggling at the back of her mind...something horrible had happened awhile ago to a boy named Logan Echolls, she remembers. It was all over the news...something that would be cause for him to feel like that. She bites her lip, trying to remember.
[ooc: Rory's about to finally realize that Logan's the Logan Echolls she spent the summer hearing about, re: the Lilly murder and all of that. Just FYI.]

[OOC: Cool. Angela's from a different point in time, so Logan's name won't mean anything to her, though his dad's might, if we're assuming all the normals at FH are from the same earth.]

Angela saying Lilly's name triggers it. All the names fell into place. Aaron Echolls, the celebrity who killed his son's girlfriend after she threatened to go public with the sex tapes he had made of her. It had been all over the news this past summer.
Aaron Echolls - the man Logan had thought he was during the zombie attack. Logan's father had slept with his girlfriend and killed her.
Her hands are shaking, and she unconsciously drops her coffee cup. She jumps when the hot liquid hits her legs, however.
"Oh, ugh, I'm sorry," she says distractedly, pulling a few napkins from her purse and wiping the floor. "Did I get you, Angela?"
[ooc: Still figuring out how Rory would take this realization...and that worked out nicely, with the mentioning of Lilly. :)]

She goes to the sink and gets Rory some paper towels. "Are you okay?" she asks.
no subject
She glances up at Angela. "Have you ever heard of Aaron Echolls? Y'know, the movie star?"
no subject
She furrows her brow. "Is Logan related to him somehow? And, um ... you look really upset."
[OOC: I don't know VMars well enough to know canon on Aaron's filmography, so I kept it vague.]

She shakes her head. "Sorry. I just...I didn't realize he was that Logan Echolls. It was really highly publicized this summer, but I don't usually pay attention to celebrity crap like that."
She leans back on her haunches and sits heavily on the floor. "Oh, God. It all just makes so much sense now," she says, shaking her head. "I'm so stupid. And why didn't he tell me?"
[ooc: That works perfectly. I discovered VM mid-season, so I'm not that familiar either, but from what I understand, Aaron did cop movies and action stuff.]

She realizes that's kind of beside the point right then, and puts a hand on Rory's arm. "I don't know why he didn't tell you the whole story. Maybe he was just trying not to upset you," Angela says. "I mean, I know that's what was going on with Marty's secret."
"Do you want to call him and try to work it out?"
no subject
She stands up, picking up the paper towels, and throwing them in the trash absently. "I think I'm going to go check out some stuff online, see if I'm right, and then head over there," she says quietly to Angela, biting her lip.

She is clearly worried as she watches Rory fussing with the paper towels.

She gives Angela a quick hug, and walks off towards her room, calling, "Wish me luck!" over her shoulder.
