The room is spotless. All the beds are made with precision corners, and fluffed up pillows. There's no sign of any of the broken fluffy bunny plates, or any mess which might have accumulated.

Even the fridge has been sorted and tidied, and all the bottles of alcohol are organized by type and size.

Elizabeth is sitting on the floor by the DVDs, ensuring that they're all in alphabetical order.

Nervous? What do you mean, she's not nervous?

The half-empty bottle of wine in the fridge, and the wrappers from the box of chocolates suggest otherwise.

She grins. "Yes. Interesting has become an oft-used word in my vocabulary after moving here"

"Has the school motto been officialized yet? Maybe that should be the first thing on the table for the school council?"

She laughs. "Or the start of one at least. Just as long as they don't want me to translate it into Latin, it'll all be good."

"I can barely get the hang of this... English thing. I don't even want to think about another language."

"I was taught different languages from a very early age. Actually, it's been proved now that it's best to start learning when you're still a small child."

Aeryn nods. "It's why we get the translator microbes injected at birth. There's no need to not understand something." She glares at her textbooks across the room. "Unless it's written, anyway."

"Wow, they sound really useful," Elizabeth says, with eagerness in her voice. "It's a pity they can't work on text as well. Although I have no idea how they could do, so..."

"I really don't see why your people never thought of anything like it. It makes things so much easier."

"Well, we've not even developed a computer yet that can translate all languages, yet alone shrink it down to something that will interact with the human body."
