After the yearbook meeting lets out, Rory wanders out into the common room, Anna Karenina in hand.

She flops down on the couch, opening her book and absently channel-surfing. She stares sullenly at the wall, though, ignoring both her open book and the television.

[ooc: Because these posts are fun for me, and I'm bored as all hell and totally not procrastinating on working on a midterm paper. Nope.]

"That would be me, and thank you," Rory says, smiling. "I'm afraid I don't know your name, though," she adds, holding out a hand.

"Well, I'm not Lee," he says with a weak smile, holding out his hand. "Archie Kennedy. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Nice to meet you, Archie. You do look a bit like Lee," Rory says, shaking his hand. "Don't worry about it, though, since I apparently have a double, too," she adds, making a face.

"You as well?" he asks with a laugh, and really does smile this time. "I'm beginning to lose count."

"Anyway, Lee's hair can't hold a candle to mine."

"Yeah, apparently there's some black and white girl who looks just like me," Rory says, rolling her eyes. "I have yet to see her, though."

"Black and white?" Archie repeats in surprise. "Anything like that interesting Chiana girl, or is this different?"

Do you like it? I get my hair products from Lee.

"I think like Chiana, except from what I understand, Becky - that's my evil twin's name - has blue eyes, like me. Which is just...odd."

And yeah I do! You'll have to tell me what products you use, because I to want lustrous, rippling locks.

Archie shakes his head. "What isn't odd around this school?"

"Good point," Rory agrees. "So, did you have fun at Homecoming? You went with Lana Lang, right?"

Yay! But as I am not blond, will it be as awesome and prettyful?

A grin suddenly breaks out across Archie's face. "I most definitely did, on both counts. Did you?"

These are hair products from the future, and I don't believe they discriminate based on hair color.

"Well...I didn't go with Lana, no," Rory replies, smiling. "But yes, I had a lot of fun - once we got to the dance, that is. My boyfriend made reservations at a kind of...weird place in town, and dinner was a bit of a disaster."

Ooh, futuristic hair products. Sparkly.

Archie grimaces. "I'm sorry to hear that. I never even thought of taking Lana out to dinner. I hope she doesn't take it too amiss."

Rory shakes her head. "I doubt she will, or did, if you had such a good time. And the dinner thing makes for a great story now, anyway, since I got to show off my awesomely bad lying skills."

"Well, I suppose I ought to make it up to her sometime. Perhaps this weekend." He shrugs and rubs a hand across his eyes. "And I suppose if you got a good story out of the dinner, it wasn't a complete loss."

Rory nods. "Exactly. And may I suggest Nolita, if you're taking her out. It's lovely, and not at all creepy. And very romantic," she adds, grinning.
