Alanna reads the note and begins to laugh. Ten minutes later, she's still laughing. And so not signing up.

Marty sees Alanna laughing at the sign and signs her name to the sign up sheet.

Alanna mock glares at Marty. "I don't dance"

Marty shrugs. Points at the sign-up sheet and Alanna's name. Makes a "What can you do?" gesture.

Alanna remembers the reason why Marty can't talk. "One, I can talk without singing and two..." She signgs Marty up as well. "I can bring you down with me."

Alanna resists the urge to stick her tongue out at him. "Speaking of which, did you talk to the Dean yet?"

"Bristow said he was fine as long as you didn't have a vote. As far as I'm concerned that's something you and I can work out between ourselves whenever that occurs."

Alanna nodded. "Will I attend the meetings? And status will be less than yours I assume? And I find it hard to imagine too many topics we'll disagree on. Aside from dancing and personal dignity."
