Second floor common room, Sunday afternoon

Having been asked to babysit the "Cube of Wonder", Aeryn wanders into the common room in an attempt to figure out what it is. She knows it isn't a weapon, because otherwise the Tick wouldn't have given it to her, or he would have been blown up long before now.

(She does not contemplate IC the fact that her entire flist was having various degrees of sex last night, omg.)

She smiles tightly. "At this moment, Crichton, you really don't want to chance that."

"You'll change your mind," John says simply.

John smirks. "You said that...yesterday."

Aeryn's definitely not smirking. "Yesterday was playing. This is not playing."

John's trying his best not to smile. He's losing the battle. "Oh, you're playing, all right. The puzzle's just beating you."

"You know," she says, "you should be treading very carefully right now."

John grins at her. "Or what?" John challenges. "You'll growl at the puzzle some more?"

"I don't know if it's escaped your notice," she says slowly, "but I am past growling at the puzzle."

"Oh, it hasn't escaped my notice. I've been vastly entertained this afternoon."
