Second floor common room, Sunday afternoon

Having been asked to babysit the "Cube of Wonder", Aeryn wanders into the common room in an attempt to figure out what it is. She knows it isn't a weapon, because otherwise the Tick wouldn't have given it to her, or he would have been blown up long before now.

(She does not contemplate IC the fact that her entire flist was having various degrees of sex last night, omg.)

Aeryn frowns. "That almost sounds about normal for Kawalsky."

Elizabeth laughs slightly. "Not really. Charlie's usually a lot more laid back than he was today."

"Was it a good time, at least?"

"Yeah... yeah. Good to get away from this place, y'know?"

"It is," Aeryn admits. "I haven't been doing much of that lately. Getting away."

Elizabeth nods. "We need to get off this island... show you some more of the States."

"I don't even tend to get into town," she says. "Other states are a little beyond me at the moment."

"We'll have to take you into town more often then. It's growing pretty steadily."

Aeryn nods. "I'd like that. I don't think I get to see you all as much as I should."

"It really is insane how there's five of us in the room, and we all seem to miss each other," Elizabeth agrees. "And don't be surprised if I try and get a trip to DC... that's the capital, which is just down the road, and where I used to live." She sighs. "One of my favorite places in the world."

"What's so special about it?" Aeryn asks. "Capitol cities are usually all politicians and buerocrats, from what I've seen."

"There's some fantastic architecture," Elizabeth begins, starting to smile at the thought. "It's a very pretty city, or at least I think it is. In the spring, the cherry blossom blooms, so there are so many pink trees around. It's got a lot of history, and monuments... they won't mean much to you though. Then there's the musuems. You might enjoy the Air and Space one, actually. It's not exactly the standards of flying you're used to, but it'll give you an idea about our history of flight... so far."

Aeryn considers this. "It sounds very nice."

Elizabeth smiles. "It is. I'll have to show you pictures at the very least to do it justice."
