Workout time [Gym, late Monday afternoon]

Anders leaves a note on Bridge's door to say that he'll be down in the gym, just in case Bridge comes by to install the new lock while he's out. He doesn't feel like waiting for Kara, and figures she'll come find him down in the gym eventually, so he grabs his Pyramid ball and protective gear from his room and heads down to start practicing.

Luckily the gym is empty when he gets there, and he starts working on his rebounding, bouncing the ball off the walls at weird angles to see how well he can read them. After about twenty minutes of this he switches to footwork drills, and spends an hour or so on those. He likes the sound in here -- it's a weird symphony of his shoes squeaking on the floor and the reverberation of the Pyramid ball against the walls, and the rhythm of his own breathing.

I was taking a few minutes' break anyway. *comes over and gives Cally a kiss because this means war and Logan and Allie are not going to beat us*

How was class?

Pretty decent. Jack and I played with legos for a class presentation. *rubs noses*

Played with Legos, huh? *laughs* Class was pretty good, and I went and got a coffeemaker and stuff. And I can make you toast tomorrow morning.

*rubs noses with Cally again* Okay. Back to work, or I'm just gonna end up over here with you and Kara will kill me.

*goes back out and starts doing rebounding drills again*

Kara enters the gym with a towel slung over her shoulder and a bottle of water in her hand. Putting them down on the bench, she jumps in front of Anders and catches the ball on rebound. Turning towards him, Kara gives him a smirk.

Anders smirks back and takes a defensive position. "Well, frak you then, Thrace. Let's get to it."

"Ooo, Anders, I didn't know your girlfriend liked to watch," Kara says, grinning. She sets up, gives him a wink and spins out to her right.

"Didn't know your boyfriend didn't," he shoots back, shading her move. "Got a problem with it? 'cause I sure as frak don't."

Kara turns her back into him. "Maybe we can get together some time, think Cally would go for that?" Kara fakes right and moves left, getting past Anders. She takes a few steps and simulates scoring by bouncing the ball off the wall.

Anders snorts, snags the ball, and touches it down in the neutral zone before spinning around Kara, dribbling, and cutting sharply across her. "You and me, Thrace? The world will have to end first."

Having read Anders' note, Bridge wanders in to the gym and sits down on the bleachers next to Cally.

"Not much," he grins. "I finished that lock system for you guys. It's pretty cool. And working from a plan wasn't *too* weird after all. I think I might do it more often."
