Second Floor Common Room [Thursday Evening]

Anders heads into the common room for a while after talking to Cameron, who was still camped out (in a little camouflage tent!) in front of Vala's door. He frowns as he turns on ESPN and realizes that he did, in fact, miss the last game of the World Series last night, but there's this bizarre Degrassi: The Next Generation show on Noggin and it fascinates him for some reason.

Could be the sleep deprivation, really. He hopes.

Anders tightens his arms around Cally and kisses her ear. "No, I'd say it's definitely my lucky day." He smirks again. "Too bad about yours."

"Yeah, well, what're you gonna do?" Kara pulls out her cigar case and cuts one.

"For frak's sake, Thrace, do you gotta do that in here?" complains Anders. "Healthy habit for a would-be pro Pyramid player you got."

Kara blows a mouthful of smoke in his face as response.

Anders glowers, grabs a gumball out of the cup, and chucks it at her. "Not frakking cool, Thrace."

Kara reaches up and grabs the gumball, flinging it back to Anders. "Tell someone who cares," she replies.

Anders sighs. "Look . . . Kara, what is the problem here? You come in and you're snarky from the get-go."

"Nothing, Samuel," Kara replies. "Go back to your girlfriend and stop pretending you care." She takes another long drag on her cigar and leans back into the couch.

Anders sighs, exasperated. "I do, okay? But it's kind of a waste of my time if all I ever get for trying is this kind of shit from you."

Lee pops his head into the common room and sees the gumball fly and hit Anders square in the head. "Good one, Kara."

"Hey - Kara. You're terrorizing the sacchrine duo here. Can I help? Wanna get some fresh air or something?" Lee asks terrified for his life quietly.
