Paige walks in with a cup of coffee yawning and muttering the word "jerk" every so oftern

She shuts ups when she sees the girl

"oh hi, sorry. You came to see Maia when she was in the clinic didn't you?"

Lana smiles at her. "Yes, Maia's a friend. You're Paige, right? She says you really saved her life."

Paige smiles "yeah that's me, but I just did what Tara told me to, I was minimally involved really, I just wanted to help."

"Well, it was really great of you, anyway." Lana smiles warmly at her.

She smiles "well it's one of the perks of being a witch I guess, being about to help out your friends when they need it."

Lana's still always a bit surprised to run into people with different abilities here, but she's grateful to anyone who helped her friend. "Yeah, I guess that would be a good thing about it. Must be a bunch of downsides though, huh?"

Paige lets out a sigh, "You could say that yeah. My ex, well I say ex, it's more like we still love each but can't be together, but anyway yeah the magic came between us there. I didn't tell him for a while cos I was scared of what he'd say and he thought it was because I didn't trust him. Then I meet a guy who seems cool with it all, but he turns out to be a jackass."

She takes a deep breath "oh and I was possessed for most of last week, which totally sucked!"

"Wow," Lana shakes her head, "You poor thing, I can't imagine how tough that must be for you."

She nods "Well a lot of what happened is a blur, but I know she hurt a lot of people I care about and she made a few people really angry with me even though the things she did we are of my control, and she kinda...well did thing with my body I'm not too happy about either. I've not been listening to radio or anything since so I don't even know what everyone's saying about me anymore."

"Oh, Paige, that's terrible." Lana reaches out and touches her on the shoulder sympathetically. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Paige smiles a little and thinks for a moment. "If you could just like put people straight if you hear anyone suggesting I hurt people through choice that'd be good, thanks Lana. I-I think I'm starting to deal with things now. I'm just concentrating on tonight, my Grams is coming and I've never met her before, I['m hoping maybe she'll have some advise for me"

Lana smiles at her, "Of course I will! And if you ever want to talk - or just hang out, I'm up in the West Attic. Actually, I'm all alone in the West Attic since my two roommates left. It gets a little lonely and a little creepy at times, so I'm always glad of company." She pauses, "And I hope your grandmother has some good advice for you. Wish I had one myself."

Paige smiles "Well you know I'm alone in the North Attic, if you fancy..." she trails off a little why would someone she's spoken to once before what to move in with her?

"Really? You know," Lana says hesitantly. "The West Attic has a really great view and I've still got some beautiful Chinese folding screens up that my old roommates and I got to split up the room - give us each our own space, you know. If you wanted... Well, would you be interested in moving in with me?" She waves her hands nervously, "I know, I know, I barely know you and all, but you seem like a nice person and I'd really love not to be alone in that room all the time."

[OOC: Lana's conversation with Maia is going to take place just after - or at the end of this one and she's on her way to the clinic. Feel free to join in with that one and tag along to the clinic if you'd like!]

Paige thinks a moment, "erm yeah thatb sounds cool let me think about it a little bit ok and I'll let you know? I mean the North Attic has seperate rooms, but yeah that's a really great offer thanks"

((ooc yes I might do that, thanks))

[OOC: Hey, if the North Attic has separate rooms the West Attic must too, right. ;) Let's go with that.]

"Oh, we each have - or had, I guess - our own bedroom, but for the common room we kind of split things up for our own areas. And sure, yeah, think about it. No hurry, obviously." Lana smiles at Paige.

Paige smiles "Oh right, well in that case, yeah count me in, thanks Lana, that's really nice of you. Most of my stuff is still packed up anyway from when..." she trails off looking upset

((they had to have there own rooms since Paige was doing Draco within the first week!))

"Really?" Lana's whole face brightens. "That would be super. God, I'll be so glad not to be alone up there. I've got the extra keys in the room - maybe we can move you in after classes or something?"

Paige smiles, "yeah that'd be great, living alone isn't really much fun is it? I'll try not to be too much for a downer."

Lana smiled again. "Don't worry about it. If you get too depressing I can always just close your door and ignore you," she joked. "And yeah, living alone isn't as much fun as some might think."

Paige laughs, "you know I completely wouldn't blame you if you did that! I'm a lot more together than I have been lately, so hopefully, no more angst for a while, well other than the fact my so-called boyfriend is a jackass."

"Sometimes you just need to angst, though," Lana says. "And hopefully your boyfriend will either come around or you'll find a new one. I'm still looking for one myself."

Paige nods "well I kinda willing to give him another chance, our thing works for us and he's a good guy generally. So not seeing one then? that suprises me."

((Paige doesn't know about Archie))

((It's okay, if you decide to join in with the clinic thing Paige will be able to honestly say that Lana didn't seem to know she had a boyfriend. If not... won't hurt anything at all. :) ))

"Well, I'm all for second chances," Lana replied. "And sometimes third and fourth chances, even," she says, thinking of Clark.

She sighs, "I think with Sawyer he might get into double figure chances!" she laughs a litttle aware this is probably very very true

"Sawyer, huh? Nice name. I assume he's good-looking?"

Paige smiles "yeah he's mega cute and he's been really nice to me, we just got into a big argument last night, when he came to a goth night I'd gone to."

"Well, if he's usually really nice to you, then he definitely deserves another chance." Lana smiled again, "I can't wait to meet him. And don't worry. I have a strict 'no poaching' rule - no matter how cute they are!"

Paige smiles, "Oh you don't need to worry about that, we agreed on an open relationship, so we're both pretty much free to go out with whoever we want>"

"Oh," Lana looks a little shocked, she's really just a small town girl at heart, but she figures what people do is their own business. "No worries at all then, right?"

She nods, "well that's the plan anyway. I got a bit over involved with Geoff so right now this is kinda what I need."

"Probably a good thing to not get in over your head again then," Lana agreed.

"Yeah well I still love Geoff, but yeah Sawyer knows that and seems ok with it." she takes a deep breath "I should get goi9ng I'll see you later tonight ok?"

"Absolutely. My friend, Lex Luthor, is coming up for Parent's weekend, But I don't think he'll be by till later this evening. If I'm not there I'll leave a key under the mat and you can just come on in." Lana hesitated, "I'm really looking forward to this, Paige. I think it will be great having you around."

Paige smiles "Yeah me too, thanks a lot Lana, I'll see you later ok?" she hugs her lightly before leaving

"Absolutely," Lana hugs Paige back. "See you soon!"

Maia walked through the common area on her way to get some breakfast, she saw Lana.

"Oh my God Lana. Hey sweetie, are you ok? You didn't come back last night I was worried."

Lana smiles at her friend, "Hi, Maia!" Then she looks puzzled. "Back, back from where? Was I supposed to meet you somewhere?"

Maia looked at her "Yeah, last night you were going to Debs to bring back some food. I- are you ok?" Maia peers closer at her. "Where did you go last night?"

Lana looks very perplexed. "I remember I was supposed to go to Deb's for you and I remember being very upset, but I can't remember why."

Maia glances around for a second to make sure nobody overhears. "Archie" She whispered "You were upset about him leaving." Maia frowns "About leaving and not giving you any word..." Maia trails off thinking Lana has no idea what she is talking about.

"Archie?" Lana looks at her as if she's crazy. "Who's Archie? I've never heard of him before."

Maia blinks in confusion. "Archie, h-hes your boyfriend. Y-you love him." Maia leaned forward and whispered "You made love with him. Lana, sweetie, what happened you were telling me he left with no word and now.. now you don't remember. I think- I think we should go to the clinic. Somethings happened to you."

Lana shakes her head, feeling more and more upset and confused. "Maia, I don't know anyone named Archie. I'd think I'd know if I was going out with someone named Archie, don't you. And as for the other..." Lana blushes furiously, "Maia... I've never made love with anyone. What are you *talking about?"

She looks sick to her stomach. "Maybe I'd better go to the clinic after all."

Maia looks hurt and confused. "Lana I didn't I am just telling you what you told me. You you said you and Archie were together I-.." Maia watches her. "Do you remember anything else from last night Lana. You remember being upset and going to get the food. Lana you were upset about Archie.. don't you remember Archie.. you went to Homecoming together. We saw you at the dance..." Maia peered closely at her "You really don't remember him do you?"

Lana looked really scared now. "I don't remember any of this. I know you wouldn't make this up and I think you know that if this is some game it's gone way past being funny." She put her hands to her head and tried to think.

"I remember leaving your room and heading into town. And I remember being really upset and running off into the forest, just to get away. And... I sat down by this tree... There was a stump there and I sat down." She thought some more. "I remember thinking it might be someone's garden because there was a sort of sign there - you know like some gardens have little sayings on signs around? This one said..." she tried hard to remember it exactly. "It said 'Be careful what you wish for'."

"And then I just remember being back in my room and feeling happy and not upset anymore."
