Campus Beautification Committee: Part Deux

Marty walks back from town, a little confused as to how he ended up at Chaucer's last night. He remembers going for a walk with Rory.... but nothing after that.

His confusion is left behind when he sees the mess that happened last night.

"Jesus Parker! What the hell did you do this for?! It's Parent's Weekend!"

At which point he hears the giggles coming from the walls and the air vents. Marty's eyes narrow into a squint. Gremlins. Damn them. Damn them all.

Marty goes to his room and changes into a white tank top and daisy dukes more comfortable clothes, gathers the cleaning buckets, mops.

He also lays out some large tarps in a pattern not unlike a baseball diamond.

No reason why they can't have fun while they clean...

((OOC: Help clean up the mess! Find a Gremlin? You get to play Gremlin baseball))

"Gremlins who can paint." John shudders a bit. "This place gets weirder and weirder. I find the gremlins cooking in the cafetera well that...would be perfectly normal for this place."

"Oh man," John says, hitting a particularly thick area of paint, "Telling my father about gremlins and locker 327 and Rover and the principal should be...interesting. I'm gonna be in therapy for the rest of my life."

John nods slowly. "Yeah, my dad's coming. And I'm excited! Can't you see the excitement on my face," John says, pointing at the thin, forced smile he's just pasted on his face. "I'd use the old 'in locker 327' excuse but he might come after me. Could always tell him you can't find my name on the roster, delay him a little so I can hide or prepare or something."

"Last time I checked, he didn't carry a gun. His ego's enough," John grouses. "Anyone coming for you?"

John grimaces. "I'd...forgotten about the squid. Ugh. Think the zombies will turn up? My dad hated the PTA when I was a kid. I can't wait to see how he handles this. Lucky you about the family but you sound like you're gonna be busy as hell anyway."

John laughs. "Fun, huh? As long as we don't have to mop anything else up come Monday. And that there won't be any zombies." John frowns for a moment. "Telling the parents the zombie story should be fun too. I'd almost rather be running around like crazy instead of dealing with my father this weekend."

John tries to imagine his father being bitten my a gremlin. And then tries not to smile. "No, he's not. He's more overwhelming and demanding then anything. I'm the only son, I have to carry on his tradition, I have to walk in his shadow...yada yada yada." John shrugs and finds another area to mop up. "It could be worse, definitely. Very worse."

"Astronaut." John pauses for a moment. "Which is exactly what he wants me to be."

John shrugs. "Not sure. I might want to do that but I hate when he makes decisions for me." John shakes his head and laughs ruefully. "Sorry to dump this all on you while we both have mops in our hands and paint to clean up."\

John wrings his mop out before slapping it back onto the ground. "Hell, maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe he's changed for the better. But," John says and starts laughing, "his reaction to Rover should be priceless."

((Yeah, but he definitely wouldn't be calling us SG people, then. :) And thank God he doesn't know, because it seems like half the school knows about the whole cloning and adults-in-teen-bodies thing!))
