Fourth Floor Common Room

Belthazor lounged on the fourth floor common room couch, idly flipping through the channels on the TV. He'd been avoiding the Parents' Weekend goings-on for the most part, as if pretending they weren't happening meant that Raynor and his mother weren't going to be showing up. So far, so good. Maybe they'd forgotten. Maybe something had come up, the Source had given them orders at the last minute.

Then he felt a familiar chilling tingle which meant another demon was nearby. Two, as a matter of fact. Two he recognized. Damn.

Raynor nodded at Belthazor. "That's what I want to hear."

Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "It's late," she said. "I suggest we wait until morning to continue this further."

"Very well," Raynor added, looking at Belthazor once more. "We will return tomorrow."

"I'm in room 412," Belthazor said. "This floor. I'll be ready when you are."

He breathed a sigh of relief when his mother and Raynor shimmered out of the room. Just had to get through the next day without them running into Phoebe. Or him thinking about Phoebe. Or any witches. Or vampires.

He was so dead.
