Marty sits on the couch and fights over the remote control with Camilla. He's looking very tired and worn out and probably would like to have a conversation with someone who isn't a muppet.

Bored, and without classes today, Quinn takes a seat. "Rough night for you too?" she asks. "Neat chicken."

"That's Camilla. She's nice but has an addiction to TV talk shows."

*Squawk!*

"No we're not watching Springer!"

"My night was... weird. And strange. What about yours? Did you go to the big halloween party?"

"Springer's lame now anyway," Quinn tells Camilla. "Maury probably has a paternity test on, though."

She turns to Marty. "I went. A barrel chased me around the cellar and then I got scorpions to sing Britney Spears. You?"

Camilla bounces up and down with excitement and changes the channel to Maury. Indeed. Paternity suits galore.

Marty does a *face_palm* on Camilla's taste in TV. Hopefully Oprah will come on soon.

"Scorpions can sing? Wild." [OOC: Link Please!]

"I actually had a surprise visit from... an old friend. And unlike most of the Parents/Guardians who showed up I didn't go crazy."

Quinn smiles. "Didn't go crazy? See, I heard something about Snickerdoodles..."

Marty snorts. "Technically that was a gremlin bite, and for the record? Snickerdoodles are made from wholesome ingredients. So I'm guessing that was your sister I saw you with at registration?"

Parker wanders through on her way to the library, and pauses as she sees Qunn and Marty.

"Sorry I didn't run into your parents, Morgandorffer. I meant to talk to them if I saw them this weekend. Did they end up giving you too hard a time?"

Then she turns to Marty. "I'm going over to Azriphale's Wednesday night to research that independent project. Are you going to be around?"

Marty nods and tries to get the remote away from Camilla. "I'll probably be there after classes on Wednesday to get some work done barring any zombie invasions or whatnot. I- Damn it! I don't want to watch Springer! Gimme that!"

*Snatches Remote from hostile muppet*

"Last night I got the delivery of that *paperweight* (http://www.livejournal.com/users/oatmanspatient/13111.html) I was telling you about. Remember?"

Parker's smile on hearing about the paperweight is relieved. "I'm glad to hear it. It's going to make a nice... present. I heard back from one of my sources -- they had a little more material to work with for the project, but not the whole recipe. Unfortunately. That's part of why I want to visit Mr. Phale's. Anything else new that I should know about? And why does that Crane kid have it in for you?"

Marty gives her a innocent look. "Crane has it in for me? Gosh I have no idea why. What have you heard?"

"Just the venomous looks he keeps shooting you are enough to figure *that* out. He's so incredibly polite to everyone else, you being on his hit-list kind of stands out."

She stares at the TV, then looks at Camilla. "Can't you find an episode of Without a Trace? Jeez."

"It could have been worse," Quinn tells her. "Thanks."

Rory wanders in, carrying the sleeping Toto Vladdie in a basket.

She plops down on the couch next to Marty and Camilla, looking drawn.

"Hi."

"Hey. How're you holding up post-emily weekend?" Marty asks humorlessly. He's clearly agitated.

"Emily's the least of my worries, now. Though, for some reason, she thinks you have an alcohol problem. And she adores Logan. So...yay for that."

Parker nods to Rory, then makes a face at this but forbears commenting. "Sorry I missed her. Did you get what you needed from Sydney in that interview?"

Marty raises an eyebrow to the Alcohol comment. "Huh. I knew I should have gotten that swiss marzipan for your grandmother."

Marty lowers his voice.

"I talked to Angela last night," Marty says. "Can you tell me what happened when you went to see Dream?"

"Oh. Um, we took Lockheed there...after we found him," Rory says, looking sad. "And Dream and Lockheed...talked, I guess. I don't really know what went on there. Lockheed told Dream that he and Kitty were attacked by a guy in an alleyway on Thursday night. Lockheed remembers being in a dark place...and we don't know where Kitty is. And so we called Alanna, and she called the police."

Rory anxiously bites her nail, looking pensive.

Marty shakes his head.

"That is what's wrong. I just finished talking to Rory. I was in town Thursday night and there's about an eight hour time span where I have no idea what happened."

Marty gives Alanna a frightened look.

"Alanna, I think I was gassed and that I might have something to do with Kitty's disappearance."

Alanna cursed and ran a hand through her hair, dislodging the fur. The fur meowled.

"Okay, walk me through the evening. Last thing you remember, who you saw, all that fun stuff. Also, I know the dragon said that he saw something. Maybe he can help fill in the blanks in your memory. And let's not jump to assumtions. Yet."
