3rd Floor Common Room - Game Night

Lily walks in to the 3rd floor common room with a stack of board games under her arm. Monopoly, The Game of Life, Trivial Pursuit, and Clue. It's time to have some fun, muggle-style.

[ooc: Open to anyone who happens by. Draco and Jonathan will be in at some point.]

Draco comes into the common room.

"Whoa, loaded with the board games aren't you? Not going to make fun of me too much if I lose, right?" he jokes

"Only a lot," Lily teases. "We've got four to choose from, so look them over," she says, gesturing to the boxes on the floor.

Draco looks inside each of the boxes. He looks a little confused.

"Well uh, I'm not too sure which one is best. The Game of Life has the most colors though." he adds "Yes, I think like a four year old."

"Oh! I was hoping you'd pick that one! And I won't tell anyone about the four-year old thing," she says, walking over to hug him.

"Aw, thanks." he says putting his arms around her. "So I take it you've played this game before?"

"A few times. It's really fun - you get to go to pick whether you go to uni or start a career straight away, and you draw cards to pick your job and your salary, and then you spin the wheel and drive your little car around the board, having a little fake life, and you can get married and have little children and buy a house..."

Veronica is wandering the dorms aimlessly looking for someone to hang out with. She's got way too much on her mind to concentrate on anything.

She sees Lily and Draco in the common room and decides to stop in and say hi.

"Hey guys," she says with a small smile.

Draco pulls back from Lily.

"Hey Veronica." he says a little dissappointed. "Care to join us in a board game?"

"Sure, whatcha' playin?" she asks, taking a seat near them.

"The Game of Life," Lily says. "We haven't started yet, so you can pick a car and join in." She nods toward the box lid, where the remaining cars and 'people' are storing.

Rose wanders into the common room, bored and in need of something to do. "Hello, mind if I join you?"

"Please - the more the merrier," Lily says. "Pick a car and a little person-thing. Oh, and I'm Lily, by the way."

Jonathan enters the common room after he's finished with his counseling hours. He's changed again so he's wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Looking around he spots Lily and Draco playing Life and heads over.

"Hullo Jonathan! Pull up some floor and grab a car."

Lily looks around the circle. When everyone has their car set up, she explains the rules, "Highest number starts, and then we'll go around the circle from there."

She spins - 6.

Draco spins- 4

"Oh dammit. I'm losing already." he says

Veronica spins - 7

"My lucky number," she deadpans.

Rose spins - 5

"Bloody hell."

Jonathan spins, he's played this quite a few times and thinks he should do fairly... Jonathan spins a 1

"damn."

"Alright - Veronica is up first!"

Veronica spins a 6.

She decides to go to college and lands on a space that makes her lose her next turn studying for exams.

"There goes my good luck."

Jonathan decides to go the Job route, since it's just a gam and not real Life. He becomes a Policeman and buys a house. The house he ends up getting is the split level, damn.

On his first turn he wins a settlement and is given $500. "yes!"

Lily spins an 8, and goes the college route. She lands on a blank spot.

Draco spins a 10 (yelling "Woo Hoo!") and goes for the college route. He lands on one of the life tiles spots, the one that says "Spring Break In Florida".

Jonathan takes his second turn (skipping Veronica's missed one) and spins an 8. Not bad he thinks, moving his little blue car. He lands on a space that says, "car accident, $1200 in medical bills,"

"I knew it was to good to last."
