Wednesday Night D&D Campaign

Flyer posted around the dorms:

Interested in doing a little roleplaying?

Haven't played in a while?

First time?

No worries, the patented Marshall Flinkman beginner's Dungeons and Dragons campaign is here, with all the stuff you need to have a successful game. Dice and character sheets provided. I have a spare rule book I can pass around, but it'd be nice if you brought your own.

Limit four other players.

Wednesday Nights.
Marshall's Bunker.
FH Basement.
Guaranteed Safety from Bad Guys

Bring a pencil.

[OOC: Basically, the players will show, we'll run an incident or two, but the focus will mostly be on the chatter and whatnot and not the actual game. I'll strip down elements to the bare minimum for actual D&D]

[OOC: Post your interest in the comments]

[OOC: *briefly curses Jock-boy's complete unfamiliarity with -- and probable inability to grasp the concept of -- D&D*]

OOC: Duuuude. I'm totally signing Janet up for this. I will FIND a way to make it IC for her.

ooc: V will be there... though I can't quite work out how it's IC for her either :)

OOC: Anyone else having Buffy 'night before the end flashbacks' starring Andrew and Giles? Mystical strength of a doily indeed.

OOC: I really, really am. If any Turok-Han show up on Thursday night, we'll know who to blame.

((OOC: Out of detention! Yay! So I can say something! DEATH is *so* in for this, if you can think of a way to get around the whole "other players can't think of him".

Because, damnit, I can *so* pull this off IC))

((OOC: But some can, right? Like, if someone died and came back, they'd know? I don't know your fandom, sorry.))

[identity profile] death-n-binky.livejournal.com 2005-11-07 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
((OOC: I'm actually letting indivual characters decide. Basically, if they know DEATH, as in incarnation, exists, then yes - which could apply in your case. I don't know. Or if they're dead, or magically inclined, or of the feline persuassion, or if they're very literally minded, drunk/high/alternate-plane-of-reaitied/etc....

Basically, DEATH isn't invisible, so much as he breaks brains when people see him. So most can't, unless he insists.

Also, sometimes people *do* see him, but they just get the impression of a tall, skinny guy with foggy features. Which doesn't work for long periods of contact...

And, finally, if a character has repeated contact with DEATH, they may start to be able to see him, since its becoming more and more apparent that he's really there.

So, uh, you decide. Can you see me? *g*))
