Marty waits until everyone arrives before he goes into his prepare notes.

"Thanks for coming everybody. I guess you know that a couple of things have happened in the last few weeks that probably could have been prevented if this program was in place sooner. Ideally what we are providing is someone to be on call during the week to walk with a student to town or back during the evening hours. If you haven't done so already (and if you have please do so again so it'll be easier for me to track) please sign your name below and the nights you will be available."

"Currently our hours will run between nightfall and curfew. If curfew is ever lifted, our hours may go beyond that. If you are on a shift for the night, please stay available in the main common room so that a student can find you or contact you in order to escort him or her from or to town."

For the nights you are signed up, Please make a post in the dorm around 5:00 PM EST. If you can't make your shift, either give permission to have a player Mod you or find someone else to cover for you.

Ideally you do not have to do a whole scene where you walk the person to town or pick them up. A simple link to the place they are going or returning from should work fine. Work it out with the player OOC on how you want to handle it.

If you want to have some little plot bunny happen while doing a safe walk, please let me know ahead of time just so I know what is going on.

"That's something I still have to run through administration. Everyone will be given a cellphone/instant communicator that will allow them to contact either the police or Rover if there is any problem. Ideally the idea behind this is safety in numbers, not a bodyguard service."
