Anakin looked at Cally's sad, sad eyes, and broke.

"Fine," he muttered, retrieving his bell from Jaye (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/250922.html?thread=9428010).

He glowered at Callynanders.

"The sun will come out" CLANG
"Tomorrow" CLANG
"Bet yer bottom dollar" CLANG
"That tomorrow" CLANG
"There'll be sun" CLANG

His eyes stared at the wall.

"Jes' thinking about" CLANG
"Tomorrow" CLANG
"Clears away the cobwebs" CLANG
"And the sorrow" CLANG
"'Til there's none." CLANG

He blamed the entire performance on sleep deprivation.

Anakin watched them leave. He noticed the room was really clearing out, so he took his banthabell and headed back to his room.

And hoped not to have any more dreams.

Anders favors Anakin with his brightest, goofiest smile. "Trust me. You'll sleep better tonight for giving in. 'cause you might have made my girlfriend cry otherwise, and . . ." He shakes his head, whistling. "We can't have that."

Anakin squeezed his eyes shut. "When Obi-Wan said I had a habit of helping damsels in distress, I don't think he was imagining this situation," he muttered.

Anders laughs and digs a handful of gumballs out of his pocket. "Not for throwing at the banthabell this time, dude," he says, offering them to Anakin.

Anakin took them with a smile. He stared at them for a moment then levitated them off his hand and started to juggle.

"If the Jedi thing doesn't work out," he said with a shrug, "I might be able to find an interplanetary circus that'll take me on."
