In the halls, evening-ish, heading for room 303

Harry walks through the dorm halls, on his way to Sawyer. In his sleeve he has a suspiciously bottle-shaped lump, which if you ask him, he will claim is a severe case of camel-illness.

((OOC: Post for [livejournal.com profile] conathon-mun. Feel free to stop Harry though, if you wanna))

Kiki is coming back from poetry class, exhausted. It has been an extremely trying day for her, and she just wants to get to bed. Still, her face lights up with a smile when she sees Harry.

"Harry! Hi!" she says pleasantly. "I - well, um - I wanted to thank you for everything you did for me yesterday at Aziraphale's. It really helped having yo- having someone there. That was really great of you."

[(Actually, it would be two days ago, I guess. Silly chrono-sensibility!)]

"Er, well...no," Kiki says, shifting her weight uncomfortably. "Actually, really... I'm the one who owes him an apology, I think. I've baked myself a humble pie, no choice now but to eat a big healthy slice of it."

[did they use that in Sabrina? I never watched the show. It is a pretty old-fashioned American saying, though, heh.]

"Pretty nice. We were talking about some sonnets by an old Italian poet. We're discussing Shakespeare next week," Kiki is a little confused herself; hse is puzzled by Harry's use of the word "Demon" in describing Mr. Crowley. Sure, Mr. Aziraphale said Mr. Crowley wasn't exactly human but... demon? Never. Harry only used the word because he didn't much like Mr. Crowley. But Harry didn't really know Mr. Crowley - hadn't properly met him, of course. Kiki drops the line of thought. It's too tiring to ponder now. "We also get to write some of our own poetry for next class. More sonnets - not my favorite, but not awful, I guess."

[No worries, Kiki's already rationalized it away!]

"Yeah, it's a form of poetry - it'll be a little tricky doing the whole iambic pentameter and rhyme-scheme thing, but I've got a whole week to work on it. Shakespeare wrote a lot of them - in addition to all the plays. And stuff," Kiki giggles a little.

[LOL, Edward, right? And that would be an awesome spell. I can picture Harry yelling it all dramatically: "Iambic PENTAMETER!"]

Kiki colors bright pink. "Thanks, Harry," she says shyly. "I- um, well, I'd stay and talk longer, but I'm really exhausted. It's been a long day. Do you want to get together later - this weekend or something?"

"Ok," Kiki answers, smiling a little bashfully. "I will. Have a good night."

Kiki continues climbing the stairs up to her room, too tired to fly through her window as usual. She never even noticed the mysterious bottle-shaped lump!
