Dorms, Generally

Sam struggled to open the door to the dorms. She was carrying three wooden pieces of the bunny hutch over from Shop Class, her hands were full, and she couldn't really see where she was going. She would reassemble them in Parker's room, but first she needed to get all the segments over to the dorms.

"Thank goodness I only have to carry them up one flight," she muttered. She finally pulled the door open, catching it with her foot and wiggling in the rest of the way.

Anders shrugged. "Seems kinda silly to have a roof underneath another roof, you know? Besides, more air flow this way, makes it less of a pain to clean. We could maybe rig some kind of skeleton roof thing later if we need to."

He took in a deep breath, enjoying the rush of cold air into his lungs. "Ah, that's nice, especially after a workout."

"Chicken wire and sliding panels, maybe?" he offered. "That way the dark places can get moved around depending on how the light's coming in?"

Following her example, he hopped into a small pile of leaves, laughing like a kid. "It never really got as cold as this, even, where I grew up on Caprica. We were pretty low, elevation-wise, and lots of sun. So this is new to me. I really like it."

"Hey, variety's a good thing, right? Even for bunnies. If I were a bunny, I'd love something like that. Not that I ever want to be a bunny, because one student around here was enough." Anders rapped his knuckles against one of his half-finished Pyramid panels on his way in, relieved that it sounded solid enough, then gathered up the ramp and a couple of the remaining pieces.

"Snow, huh? Never got much of a chance to see that, 'cept from a distance maybe."

"Yeah, I sympathize," replied Anders, thinking about his own bit of Pirate Radio infamy. "Hope that Piratefinder of yours works."

[OOC: Works for me. Night!]

"Instead of us being on the defensive? It'd be a nice change."

[OOC: Guh. I meant to get back to this earlier but completely forgot in my insanity today.]

"Yeah, me too," he agreed, taking one last look around to see if they'd missed anything. "Not that I'm, you know, ashamed or anything, but it gets me really paranoid."

Anders followed Sam through the door and stood aside so she could lock it, rearranging the pieces in his arms for more comfortable carrying.

"Yeah, I totally know what you mean. I keep ending up on the frakking radio or in the gossip column and it was kinda neat at first, but it's getting pretty old."
