Tacked on Bridge's door is a hastily-scribbled sign that reads:

ABC Damage Control: Pickup/Taking Orders

Anyone with anything that they'd dropped off for ABC to fix is welcome to come by and pick it up. Also, anyone with anything they'd like Bridge and Cally (along with the holder-of-tools and lifter-of-heavy-things, Anders) to fix is welcome come in. And of course, anyone else too, should they so wish.

Rory huffily walks down to Bridge's room and knocks on the door.

Bridge bounces over to the door and opens it.

"Hey! Rory!" he greets cheerily. "What brings you here?"

Rory smiles lopsidedly at his exuberance, and swings the orange clamshell iBook she's holding up so he can see it.

"My computer broke," she pouts. "I have no idea what's wrong, but...can you look at it?"

"Sure, no problem." Bridge says. He pokes at the laptop experimentally and scribbles something in a notebook. "Doesn't look too bad, it shouldn't take us more than a few days at least. Someone'll leave you a voicemail when it's all done!"

"Cool!" Rory grins. "Thanks, Bridge. I'm like, really bad with stuff like this. It's nice having people like you to help out."

Bridge shrugs, "It's not like I have a super-busy courseload, and I like to help people... plus, my friends and I sort of need to afford, like, food and stuff," he grins a little sheepishly.

"Ah yes," Rory replies wistfully. "Not all of us can have fathers paying enough child support that we can live without working or anything." She starts backing out of the room. "I'll see you around, okay?"

"No problem, dude!" Bridge says to Rory as she leaves.

Bridge opens the door and peers out.

"Heya Kawalsky-dude!"

"Hey Bridge. I got your voicemail. Was it salvagable?"

"Oh, yeah... we just had to replace a few waterlogged parts, and reinstall the operating system. I hope you have your music on your computer or something, because the reinstall sort of erased all the data on there..." Bridge makes a face.

He hands over the iPod and the bill, the latter of which is actually just a piece of paper torn from the notebook which says the following:

"Great." Kawalsky pulled out his wallet and pulled out a fifty. He handed it over. "Plus tip, because.. well.. I woulda had to buy a whole new one if you weren't around to fix it. I gotta ask though.. what does the 'P' stand for?" He couldn't work it out.

"Oh, um...." Bridge runs a hand through his hair and smiles a little sheepishly. "Pez, actually. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, we had to use some replacement parts, and then I rebooted it, and Cally was testing it and somehow ended up with Pez candies. So I tweaked it a bit until I got the pez-dispenser under control... see, it's right there in the top menu."

"Yep." Bridge nods solemnly. "Don't ask where the Pez comes from, 'cause none of us are quite sure. But... judging from everything else that's happened around here? You won't need to refill it or anything," he shrugs.
