Common room, Friday night

After her trip to the clinic, Quinn takes a very obvious seat in the common room, icing her maybe-broken finger, ready to pounce on anyone who comes by for information.

Callisto wanders into the coomin room, having had a long refreshing nap after wrestling club. "Hey, Quinn. What's up?"

"Hi," she says. "Hey, did you hear about anything weird happening today?"

"No." Callisto scratches the side of her neck. "But then, except for classes, I've mostly been asleep today. Something happen?"

"Well, when I was down there," she says, making sure her splinted finger is in view for sympathy purposes, "there were a ton of people waiting in line or something, and the doctors were yelling and someone may have gotten a mohawk or something."

Callisto raises an eyebrow. "A haircut, no matter how ridiculous, usually isn't a matter of life and death."

"I don't know. I've seen some really bad haircuts on people," Quinn says seriously. "Maybe one of the drama queens overreacted. Is Rory a drama queen? I heard someone say she was sanguine. Maybe that means 'blowing things out of proportion.'"

"No, sanguine refers to being cheerful, or um, sometimes blood. Hang on," Callisto frowns "Rory was in the clinic? Rory Gilmore?"

"Yeah," she says. "Cheerful's not a great place for the clinic. But she's kinda perky/emo, so..."

"Okay, Quinn, I need to to do something for me." Callisto steeples her hands as she talks. "Were you there when they brought Rory in? If you were, can you tell me exactly what you saw?"

Ash has been having a bad time. He's been searching for Doctor Carter's place of residence all day.

...he hasn't been sucessful. So this intrepid search has somehow lead him to the common room. Somehow. Don't ask how. It's probably totally inexplicable. Just... go with it.

"Hi," says Quinn, poking her head into view. "Do they give haircuts at the clinic now? Do you know? Because I thought there was someplace in town for that."

"Haircuts? Wha-huh? ...you want to start from the beginning, little lady?"

"I was in the clinic, there were people, and there was a razor sound in one of the rooms. I guess they're giving out free haircuts or something?"

"Haircuts, got it. So... how come you didn't take advantage of the offer? You kinda got some... weirdness goin' on all up in there, if you catch my drift."

Quinn stares at him as if this is the worst thing he ever could have said. "For some reason I don't trust your opinion," she says coldly.

Ash shrugs. "Yeah, yeah... So, who exactly was all there for the free haircut give-away-o-rama, anyway? There's more than a few kids other than you that need an extreme makeover. Got any dirt on specific folks?"

"I know Parker was there, and the redhead... Andrea? Whatever. And I think one of the Logans." She pauses. "Maybe the one who turns into a bunny turned into a bunny again and they were trying to fix it by shaving him?"

Bridge wanders into the Common Room, looking a little confused.

"Hey, Manuel!" she calls. "What does sanguine mean? Do you have a real definition?"

"Um... it's the name for the shade of red that blood is," he says, and runs a hand through his hair. "Um. You ever get a feeling there are things going on in this school that you don't know about?"

"Yeah," she says. "I kind of hate that feeling. Why, what've you heard?"

"Well, that's the thing, I haven't heard anything. But people are all 'aaah!' and 'aarrgh!'" he says, with accompanying flail-y hand gestures. "And then there's 'eeergh!', and in my experience that only ever leads to badness."

"Yeah, I get it," Quinn nods. She actually does. "We go to a weird school, Manuel. Very weird."

"Totally," Bridge doesn't even blink at the fact that Quinn keeps calling him Manuel. "Do you have any idea what's going on? Other than 'sanguine'-ness, anyway?"

"Half the school is in the clinic, bunnies are getting their heads shaved, and Rory Gilmore isn't dead. Maybe. She might be cheerful."
