Common room, third floor

Back from Pittsburgh and eager to catch up on what happened while she was away, Angela hunkers down on a couch in the common room.

Wary of what had happened with the hamster, she has shut Minerva back in her room.

Marty walks in after taking care of a slightly annoyed Camilla and collapses on the couch next to Angela.

"So have you had enough of me hanging around you the last few days? Or can you stand to watch some TV with me?"

"Maybe," Angela says, "But very yes."

She curls up on the couch, sniggling into Marty. "I said thank you for putting up with my family, right?"

Marty puts his arm around Angela and smiles. "Not a problem. It was worth it to see all those cute photos of you and your mom wearing the same outfits for that fashion show thing."

"It was for charity," Angela says, mock-indignant. "I swear, someday I'm going to find, like, your first-grade teacher and get every embarassing story about you possible."

She reaches for the remote. "I wonder if that SUV show you like is on?"

"Me? No embarassing stories about me. Nope. Not a one. Unless you count the one where I accidentally killed a dog," Marty says as he turns on the TV.

"Nope. But 'Crime & Justice: Illegal Intentions' is on."

"Right," Angela says. "because you would never, like, strip down to your underpants to stop an evil bake sale, or anything," Angela says.

She turns the TV on. "It's so funny that all you watch are cop sshows," she says.

"Hey... I was just trying to serve and protect my fellow students! Nothing embarassing about that," Marty says with a grin. "And what's so funny about watching cop shows?"

A strange look crosses Angela's face. "Um, nothing, Just ... y'know, what you used to do."

Marty gives her a guarded look but tries to keep his tone lighthearted. "Yeah. Emphasis on the 'used to'. Besides I just get a kick on how this Gorram guy seems to be an expert on every subject under the sun."

Angela nods slowly. "Yeah. He's, like, got to have 57 or 60 doctorates, or something."

"That's going to be your friend Brian Krakow someday. Somehow I got the impression that he didn't like me," Marty says. "Or was I just imangining things?"

Angela twists, putting her head on Marty's lap and covering her face with a pillow. "Brian Krakow..." she says, "has this, like, weird and offputting thing for me. Sometimes it shows in the most random ways."

Marty laughs and pulls the pillow away from Angela's face. "Well that explains a few things."

Marty runs his fingers through her hair. "Thanks for... letting me come home with you. It was nice to feel normal for a change," he says softly.

"Even with the two turkey dinners."

"This was probably the weirdest Thanksgiving of my life," Angela says. "A treally normal one would be..." she laughs softly. "Actually? I think you are the new normal thing for me. Which is weird. But nice."

"Me? Normal? That's definitely weird. But for me that had to be the nicest Thanksgiving I ever had. Seriously."

He leans in and gives Angela a soft kiss.

"Thank you."

Angela closes her eyes, enjoying the kiss. "DOn't mention it, seriously," she mumbles.

Marty grins and runs his fingers through Angela's hair. "You know how nice it was just to be a normal guy for a few days? I owe you big time. So yes, I will mention it. Seriously."

"You're sweet tonight," Angela says drowsily. "I thionk I like it."

"And thank you for making my first trip home relatively non-painful."

"You're welcome. I'm glad to have been able to help," Marty says with a grin.

"You look tired. Do I need to tuck you into bed?"

Angela smirks, as much as someone who looks about ready to fall asleep can smirk. "Sounds nice. You come with me?"

"Hmmm... Waking up to you in the morning sounds like a pleasant way to start the day," Marty says as he picks up Angela in his arms and heads for the bed room.
