Common Room Wednesday Night

Paige is sitting in the common room looking like she's having some sort of internal battle with herself, which she is namely 'why do I love Sawyer, when he's so bloody stubborn'.

Sighing she pulls out her notebook and starts to write, possibly fanfic, possibly a list of pros and cons of Sawyer. Some sort of distraction would probably be welcomed.

Maia came up and sat down across from Paige. "Hey."

Paige looks up from what she's writing, "hey, did you see Chiana?" she asks crossing something out forcefully

Maia nodded with a smile "Yeah, well I saw her last night...after um, well then today she was down on the beach so I went and sat with her. We talked for a little while and then, then we just sat without talking and just watching the waves crash in." Maia sighed happily at the comforting memory of Chi's fingers entwined into hers.

"So everything's ok then right?" she asks hoping it were the same with Sawyer, but feeling a little...uneasy baout the whole thing.

Maia nodded "Yeah, we talked you know and we're just putting it behind us now." Maia nodded again reassuring herself and then paused for a moment "How are things with you and Sawyer?"

Paige shrugs, "I...dunno really, I love him and I really do believe we do each other, it's just he said somethings that I don't know how I feel about. I think...I just don't know what I think anymore to be honest."

Maia frowned and looked at her hands nodding. "Are we ok?" Maia said her voice anxious.

She nodded, "I am if you are. I mean...I'm sorry about what happened, but I don't want to los me best friend cos of it and I don't regret it as such, it's just..." she sighs, "James"

Maia was relieved that Paige did not regret what happened because she didn't and she never would. "I'm fine as long as you don't regret it." Maia smiled leaning forward towards Paige and taking Paige's hands in hers, her eyes locked into Paige's. "You will never lose me Paige. I love you."

A small smile comes to Paige's lips, "I know and I love you too, it's just...well you know. My head's a little argh! right now!"

Maia stroked Paige's hair back, she smiled softly. She stood to leave and then bent low to whisper in Paige's ear "A little crazy is just what you need every now and then. You'll be fine. I'll be here when its all settled"

Paige sighed a little, it was the craziness that got her in these situations, that lost her Geoff and had her fighting with Sawyer every other day.

"I know, sweetie and I really do appreciate it."

Maia smiled, she kissed Paige's cheek and then walked away.
