Parker switched into Versace, got out the dangling earrings, and looked around for her purse, then called out her door:

"I'm going to Caritas! Anyone who wants to come with me, be ready in ten!"

"Do you promise me that I won't end up babysitting a drunk speech teacher?" Elizabeth asked, leaning against Parker's doorframe.

Parker blinked. "Sure. No drunk speech teachers. Is C.J. okay?"

Elizabeth sighed. "Professor Pierson got her home last night; she wasn't in class today, but she had left instructions on the board, so hopefully it was just a hangover this morning.

Other than that, I don't really know."

"Hunh. I hope she's okay now. But you're welcome to come along and not have to play caretaker."
