Friday late afternoon: Fourth Floor Common room

Lana waits for Shep so she can help him with his PT again. She fully intends to try and drag him out of the dorms somewhere - anywhere! He's just been cooped up for so long. She hopes he's feeling up to it.

With classes over, Shep heads down to the common room. When he sees Lana, he starts to sneak back out, hoping she didn't see him. If she did, she'd insist on torturing him again.

"Oh no, you don't, John Sheppard - and if I knew your middle name I'd use that too! You get back here!" Lana stood up and went towards him. "Your hand isn't going to get better if you don't do this."

She smiled at him, "But as a reward for letting me torture you, I will drag you out to dinner somewhere. How's that?"

*Shep stops in his tracks and tries to parse that last part.*

As a reward... you'll drag me somewhere. You really are trying to earn that Dominatrix title, aren't you?

*He sighs and drops into the chair near Lana*

Lana sits next to him and begins to gently work at his hand. "I know this is miserable for you, but it will get better, really it will. And you know you've been cooped up in the dorms for too long, you'll feel better if you get out for a while."

She winced in sympathy as she clearly hit a sore spot on his hand. "Sorry. Look, you pick a place and we'll go. My treat." She winks at him, hoping to distract him somewhat from the discomfort. "Afterall, if I'm going to be the Dominatrix I get to be the one in charge, right?"

I went to OW! Deb's last OW! night for a few OW! minutes.

But what the OW! hell. I could go for some coffee at Deb's or the Perk or some-OW!-thing. This is like OW! Ethics OW! class all over OW! again. Only with the OW! pain.

Who knew you got off on causing so much pain? *realizes that may have come out a little sharper than he meant it to* Sorry. It's kind of *hisses, but doesn't OW! again* weird. If I don't know it's coming I can handle it. The idea of sitting and letting someone hurt me doesn't compute too well, you know?

Whoever's open and closest is fine with me.

"I know and I'm sorry," Lana said quietly. And if I was from a different season I'd have been through something similar myself, but... "Okay, that's it."

She massages the hand gently to help decrease the discomfort, then lets it go. "Grab your jacket and let's head out."
