2nd floor common room, early morning

Cameron lay curled up on one of the couches in the common room, looking extra fuzzy after his bath last night. His nose hidden in his tail as he tried to sit still. He'd left his own room this morning because he kept getting distracted by something and he was scared of waking Vala up. This instinct thing was going too far and he wished he'd just be human again so he could talk to Vala decently. Without getting distracted by something half way through.

Kara edges into the Common Room, wondering if the scary girl from the night before is still around. Instead she just finds CamWolf curled up on the couch.

She sits down beside him and ruffles his fur. "At least I know you won't attack me."

Cameron lifts his head and sniffs her hand for a moment.

/I don't know. Turn into a cat and I might./ He yipps in reply.

Aeryn wanders through the common room on her way out, but has to stop when she sees Cameron. "Still a wolf, huh?"

Cameron looks up and whines in reply. /What gave it away?/

"I'm sure it'll wear off soon," she says, and if she thought about it, she'd be a little alarmed that she's talking to an animal like it's a person. Because it is a person. Struggling for a conversation topic, she says, "You look comfortable."

/That's because it is./ Although, it was kinda moot trying to have a conversation with someone who could only bark and whine at you. Proving his point, Cameron stretched out on the couch and wriggled a bit.

Aeryn has no idea why she sits on the arm of the sofa, reaching over to scratch him behind the ears. "If you were going to get turned into anything, this really isn't so bad. Is it?"

He wasn't sure how to reply to that, at least he wasn't a mouse or something completely silly and it had its fun parts. It's the instinct thing that got to him the most. Or the ear scratching that kept him from replying in the first place as, damn, that was good. Not that she'd understand him anyway, so really it didn't matter. He just wagged his tail happily and shamelessly leaned into Aeryn's hand.

Aeryn laughs a little, and keeps doing it. "I'm new to understanding wolf, so I'm going to assume tail-wagging is good?"

Definitely good, but his hindleg wants to help out and taps against the couch as he tries to resist helping her.

She turns around on the arm so that she can face him, placing both feet on the sofa cushion. This way, she can add a second hand to the rubbing/scratching.

Really, it's useless to resist. Cameron rolls onto his back, hoping Aeryn will take the hint.

She frowns, pulling her hands away and trying to figure out that one. She'd been thinking this was actually a lot easier to understand than any human language, but now she was reconsidering that. Tenatively, she reaches one hand to rub his belly. "Is that right?"

If the tail-wagging and slight squirming is anything to go by, Cameron seems to agree that it is right.

Aeryn shakes her head as she keeps it up. "You know if you ever tell anyone about this, we're going to have a problem," she says lightly.

Cameron briefly wonders who he would tell as no one understands him anyway. By the time he can tell people about it, he very much doubts he will want to say anything. He loses track of the thought quickly as belly scrubs really are a lot nicer.

But then his tail his there and he starts squirming around to try and catch it as man, it just doesn't stop moving.

"Cam?" Aeryn says, though that really is kind of cute. "You're doing that tail thing again."

/It keep moving!/ Cameron whines back, slightly frustrated. He rolls back to his stomach and tries to ignore the tail.

She just watches him. Just to see what he does.

It's still moving, he can feel it. He stubbornly lies his chin down on the couch, but it's still freaking moving. With a slight growl, he jumps up and tries to catch his tail again.

Aeryn pulls her feet in against the arm of the sofa, staying out of his way. It's really hard not to smile, so she abandons that fight early, wondering what he's going to do exactly when he catches it. If he catches it. If it's possible to catch it.

It's possible, it just takes a long time and a lot of squirming until he ends up lying on his back, curled into some sort of ball of fuzz. He paws the tail and chews on it. Which means getting fur in his mouth, which really isn't fun.

"You can stop that anytime now," Aeryn tells him. "Doesn't that hurt?"

He startles and jumps up as he had completely forgotten that Aeryn was there. He looks a bit sheepish at Aeryn and shakes his head.

If she was anyone else, she might awwww. "Nice to know I'm less important than your own tail," she grins.
