Not!Draco was once again ~~patrolling~~ wondering the halls. He didn't know why but he felt infectiously cheerful. Maybe it was the red hair. Maybe it was the freckles. But he didn't have the same "I'm Draco Malfoy and I am better than you" air that he usually did.

Lee accidently runs into the slightly unfamiliar lanky redhead and then recognizes him. "Draco -- sorry, didn't see you there."

Draco grins and says "Not a problem at all Lee. I'm probably to blame, I haven't gotten used to being this tall yet."

Lee has to really look up to look at not!Draco's face now that they're standing and not sitting at Study Hall. "Yeah, cuz you're really really tall."

"It's kind of fun towering over people. Scary as it is, I'm actually getting used to looking like this." he says

"Only downside is that my girlfriend doesn't want to kiss me but that is completely understandable. I wouldn't want to kiss this-" he points to his own face "-either."

Lee's smile falters -- "Oh, I didn't think about you and your girlfriend-- oh," he says and looks sympathetic. "So... will the effect wear off soon, do you think?"

Draco thinks for a moment, which just looks comical on Weasley. "I think so. I did some reading and nothing like this has ever stayed permanent." he says "It better wear off soon anyways. I was thinking about talking to my Aunt about it in depth but she's kind of well...she's actually the most terrifying woman I have ever been around."

Lee tilts his head, looking at him. "It's not a bad sort of person to look like, though, she could have made you turn into something with three heads!"

"I think she thought more people from Hogwarts would be here to make fun of me. She pretty much turned me into the person I hated most. Well, his best friend anyways, which is worse cause it's just degrading." he says "But I imagine I don't look that bad to people who didn't know him."

"So this person's not very nice or something?," Lee says, pondering how such a rather handsome yet benign looking person could be someone to be hated.

Draco laughs a little "To tell you the truth I was kind of the ah, not nice person. You know how it is childhood squabbles turn into burning hatred years later...or maybe you don't."
